Sushi Tei is a traditional Japanese restaurant located in Albany, NY. We feature fresh, healthy Japanese food (eat in or take-out). Wine, sake and various imported beers are also available for your refreshment. Sushi is a small piece of raw fish or shellfish on a bed of vinegared rice. This can be eaten as is, or is often dipped into soy sauce and then eaten. Sushi is based on the belief that nature cannot be improved, and is usually very simple. Therefore, great care is put into the creation, arrangement and the many methods of preparing the food. The finished appearance is also very important because the natural beauty and taste must not be lost, but enhanced!

Good place for lunch

Been to this restaurant several times when I visit Albany on a business trip. It's a good restaurant for lunch. Reasonable price and good taste.

My husband and I have been coming here since 2009. It's a tiny spot and the tables are awkwardly close together but that has never bothered us. Over the last 6 months, we've realized their quality seems to be lacking. The rolls seem to get smaller and smaller and a place that once never mixed up an order for us... More

I arrived quite late for dinner, at around 21:40, and nevertheless the staff greeted me with a smile. I was very lucky picking that restaurant, I could not imagine I could get this quality food at that time of the day!

I don't know if it was because we were there an hour before closing but the sushi was horrible it was super dry and chewy, it didn't feel fresh at all. They're sushi rolls were good but not good enough to make us go... More

We recently went to Sushi Tei for lunch. They have great lunch specials. We ordered the Teriyaki Salmon and the Salmon Don with a mini udon soup with shrimp tempura. Both were great! The restaurant is small but cozy. The staff was friendly. Looking forward to returning soon for another delicious lunch special!

This restaurant is small but the food is always excellant. Fresh and flavorful and the service is great. Friendly and fast service especially when on your lunch time. I have been there many times and have never been disappointed.

Don't go to some chain hibachi place for sushi. We eat here each and every time we want Japanese food because it is the best you will find! The bento lunch special is a great value and very complete. Everything is always FRESH and delicious. My family often orders the home style cooking, and it is so very rustic and... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way through Albany on a sunday. What a great place. Its location is in the back of a small business complex/strip mall type building but dont let it fool you. It clearly looks like a sushi bar from the inside and the service and food is excellent, especially for the price. Ive included... More
