This was a first visit for my husband and myself, but we are sushi and sashimi lovers, and this little restaurant didn't disappoint. The sashimi was totally fresh, and the menu was varied and fun. Our son had been there many times, and they were totally amenable to his ordering items with modifications on the menu ingredients. The atmosphere was... More

Outstanding menu for sushi lovers and moderately priced. Super value and quality. We ate there for our daughters graduation. What a meal with amazing Japanese beer ( as per my future son in law). If you LOVE sushi you WILL be pleased. There are also meals for those in your party who may not want Sushi. So there is something... More

I am total addicted to the James Bond Roll…it is simply amazing. When I’m being good, the Spicy Tuna wrapped in cucumber is also delightful! Slightly pricey - but so delish - well worth a splurge. Great service always too!

It would take a real expert to differentiate food from the many Japanese restaurants in the capital District, particularly if one times on rolls rather than sushi or sashimi. Since the food in many of these restaurants tends to be basically the same, the real differentiator comes on service and atmosphere. Sushi Tei does well on both of those factors.... More

Been meaning to try this spot, which is tucked away in the side of a local strip mall. It's worth the hunt. Often seems almost too small for the crowds, but the occasional bump of elbows with other diners is not an inconvenience. The food is great. We are especially fond of the udon dishes and sushi, and they have... More

Came in for dinner and ordered a few signature rolls and rock shrimp app. The rock shrimp were more chewy than crispy which took away from the taste. The signature rolls were of a good size but lacked in overall flavor, the spicy tuna lacked much in actual spice. Service was great, very attentive and food came out promptly even... More

Our family of five adults and three children went to dinner at Sushi Tei, They have a variety of sushi rolls (just like California!!!) and among the orders, we had a taste of each type we ordered (Calif roll, spider roll, etc...) Everyone was happy with their order. I have to make mention that it was daughter's birthday so I... More

While visiting Albany on business, I looked on here for recommended restaurants and this place did not disappoint! The miso soup was delicious and not over-priced. I enjoyed the Mexican Roll and Mango roll. Both were very delicious and I only wish I did not live so far away. I will definitely be visiting here on my next business trip.... More

Very well worth the price !!  All the positive reviews are fully justified. Will become our go to place for sushi. Very good service. If you can eat spicy food, the jalapeño roll is a must try.

Sushi Tei is one of my favorite sushi places and I have been to many many sushi restaurants. My boyfriend and I live about an hour away from Albany but whenever we are near we always go here for sushi. I always get the passion roll- so good. My boyfriend always gets the roll with calamari called the sunset roll.... More
