Sushi Tei is a traditional Japanese restaurant located in Albany, NY. We feature fresh, healthy Japanese food (eat in or take-out). Wine, sake and various imported beers are also available for your refreshment. Sushi is a small piece of raw fish or shellfish on a bed of vinegared rice. This can be eaten as is, or is often dipped into soy sauce and then eaten. Sushi is based on the belief that nature cannot be improved, and is usually very simple. Therefore, great care is put into the creation, arrangement and the many methods of preparing the food. The finished appearance is also very important because the natural beauty and taste must not be lost, but enhanced!

I really love the sushi at Sushi Tei! It's always fresh and delicious. While I like some better than others it's all been really good! I usually get the Sushi Tei sushi and my husband has a few regulars he likes! Will definitely go back!!

Sushi Tei has excellent sushi at affordable prices. I haven't found this quality for the price anywhere else in the area. The udon is also fantastic. It's my go-to Asian takeout! Their dine-in is good, too.

When I lived in Albany we would order from here every week. Finally went to the actual restaurant kind of afraid it would be sketchy since its in a strip mall, but it gorgeous the staff are so nice and the food is super fast. Would totally take some one on a first date here

Fantastic sushi! From sashimi to roles they make a fantastic product. The pizza role is a meal in itself requiring 2 hands to eat with a napkin back. Grub hub ordering is great as substitutions and additions are simple.

Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood sushi bar..truly great and compared to going to Kontos it's a delightful atmosphere with far more personalized service. They know their 7 yr customers by name. The quality of fish is outstanding and glad to see the refreshing of the menu to constantly add new things. They deliver locally and nothing is lost in... More

My husband and I were having a sushi craving and found Sushi Tei on TripAdvisor, so we stopped for a quick late lunch en route to the Albany airport and were really glad we did. Small restaurant with a sedate atmosphere and friendly staff in a good location. We ordered a variety of rolls and vegetable fried rice - rice... More

This was a first visit for my husband and myself, but we are sushi and sashimi lovers, and this little restaurant didn't disappoint. The sashimi was totally fresh, and the menu was varied and fun. Our son had been there many times, and they were totally amenable to his ordering items with modifications on the menu ingredients. The atmosphere was... More
