Great food, bad attitude from owner and staff

We went to Anse Soleil Beach to spend the day and have lunch at the beach restaurant. At around 1240 it started to rain so we made our way up to the restaurant only to be told by the very rude and arrogant owner Julien that they did not open until 1pm! Eventually after barking at 2 tourists "are... read more

Great little restaurant sitting on the best swimming beach. I had octopus salad, coconut ice cream and 2 beers - heaven.

We were recommended to visit this idyllic beach and restaurant by our holiday rep from Creole Tours, who said it was worth the effort to find it, and he was right. The sandy beach was a gorgeous spot to enjoy the sun and views, with excellent snorkelling out by the rocks, and this beach cafe was the icing on the... More

Appeared particulary precious to us as we were in constant search for restaurants on Mahe and due to low season (a week around new year) 90% of them were closed. This nice beachcomber was open every day and by the time it opened for luch there was a line of visitors waiting so I conclude it is very popular. Tables... More

This is a "hard to find place" right on the best beach in Mahe. Ordered fresh whole grilled fish with salad and my son had sweet and sour fish with rice. The food was really lovely and uncomplicated. It has to be one of the best experiences to eat food like this, have a couple of cold beers and then... More

So much wasted potential. Great setting spoiled by the atitude of head waiter. Think the staff would prefer it if they had no customers. So we helped them and will continue to stay away. A real pity

the owner and staff of this restaurant are so rude we arrived at mid day and asked for a coffee (the plan was coffee swim dinner) the owner replied "coffee its time for eating not drinking if you only want coffee go" so we did to maria's rock café just down the road where she serves great food and you... Fantastic location just on the beach of Anse Soleil. Fairly basic beach cafe/restaurant. Food was really good: fried calamari, superb; chicken and chips, chicken curry and swwet and sour pork reall tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately people not too friendly, but nevertheless a good experience.

Great location and could be amazing. We had lunch here and my fish and chips was very good. We thought about returning later in the week one evening but when we asked what time they closed we got the feeling that they would prefer it if we didn't come, so we didn't and instead went to Maria's where they don't... I loved the location of this restaurant overlooking Anse Soleil Beach. The food was very tasty - with special remark on the octopus salad and tuna steak. The staff could be more friendly but we were not mistreated either and the view made up for everything !
