We all had different fish dishes and a couple were caught locally. The service was good and the food quality excellent. The price was mid-range. Since Catfish are not Kosher, there are many huge specimens to watch as folks drop bread crumbs for them. We happened to be there right at sunset and the temperature was perfect.

They have a nice view to Sea of Galilee but when I've been there was too hot and waiters seemed lost. The food is good and is a relative good price.

We went to Galei Gil on the recommendation of our otherwise outstanding tour guide . . . it is one of many restaurants positioned sea side -- so you're attracted to the view. And it's a good view, quiet at times, and peaceful to watch the waters and think about the Gospel stories connected to this lake. You also may... More

On my first night in Tiberias I had supper here after the recommendations from the monastery in which I was staying. The view is very good and the service was very friendly and efficient. However the food and prices were average but that is not to say that it is not worth visiting.

This is probably one of the best locations along the front at Tiberius. The service is friendly but a tad impersonal. Once you have your food you can be forgotten unless you make a noise or wave your hands in desperation. We did not enjoy our fish, but many others seemed to think it was terrific. Would I return -... Sitting on the promenade along the shore of the Galilee, you would expect a good fish restaurant, and that's what this unpretentious place is. The selection is larger than elsewhere and the fish beautifully prepared. Portions are large enough that two can share an appetizer and then share a main course as well.

Dining on the edge of the sea, watching the sunset, feeling the breeze, along with good food and friendly service - all for a reasonable enough price - well worth it! We ate their both nights we were in town.

Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here along the Sea of Galilee. We were the only people in the restaurant, which at first made us nervous, but we had no need to worry. The food was fresh and very good. The real gem of this place is the location though--right on the seaside. You can't beat this view! The proprietor took... More

A highlight of any visit to Tiberias is to sit by the edge of the Sea of Galilee and enjoy a relaxed al fresco meal. The best place to enjoy this experience is at the Galei Gil restaurant on the waterfront very near the Scots Hotel. Jose Cohen has been running the restaurant for more than forty years and Habib,...
