Description: Named after the month it was opened in 2004 ( tishreen is Arabic for October) this sophisticated restaurant has an autumnal atmosphere with its straw-encrusted walls lined with antiques and wine bottles. Locals enjoying long lunches and late dinners order Mediterranean-inspired dishes from the mosaic-tiled wood oven which turns out 'aborigine (aubergine) stuffed with pesto and cheese' as well as excellent muhammar , an Arabic pizza topped with chicken and onion slices

Lots of Israeli food to choose from, we all enjoyed what we chose and the portion size was good. Definitely recommended.

Went here with a group, asked the owner (who was there, super nice guy) so suggest a selection of starters and mains for us, and sat back and had a wonderful time. Located near the old town, on a small, unassuming street. Zesty salads and powerfully-flavored meat dishes. The chicken dish with a coffee sauce was outstanding. I've eaten at... More

The same owners but a new place. While you set in the balcony, with a mesmerizing panoramic view of Nazareth, tasting a good wine or a chilly glass of beer you can enjoy the tasty plate that was just prepared by the chef- a local, Mediterranean and international plate prepared with a delicate taste of a young local chef. Try... More

We noticed the TripAdvisor awards in the window and decided to test the system. Inside was cool [a real plus after a few hours on foot in the sun] and quiet. Service was good and the menu offered a variety of dishes including vegetarian. Interestingly the menu had more pages devoted to alcoholic beverages than to food dishes. The food... More

Tishreen means October in Arabic. The legend says that it was opened in October some 15 years ago by two young ambitious young men who still run the place to date and have recently opened "tishreen 2" in the neighboring nazareth Illit. This restUrNt was the first out of the many restaurants that are putting nazareth in the culinary map... More

I traveled to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nazareth etc but did not get better food than at Tishreen. Simply amazing and with a twist to local dishes that added that extra dash. The liver with mashed potatoes was out of this world, the best i have ever had. Even simple things like hummus were done in a unique way. The portions... More

This is a lovely restaurant with great Arab-Palestinian food for veggies and others. Portions are large so order three courses for two and have a sweet as well. Waiters have good English and are helpful.
