Description: Named after the month it was opened in 2004 ( tishreen is Arabic for October) this sophisticated restaurant has an autumnal atmosphere with its straw-encrusted walls lined with antiques and wine bottles. Locals enjoying long lunches and late dinners order Mediterranean-inspired dishes from the mosaic-tiled wood oven which turns out 'aborigine (aubergine) stuffed with pesto and cheese' as well as excellent muhammar , an Arabic pizza topped with chicken and onion slices

A mixed taste of western and oriental cuisine, exquisite! I went to a lot of other restaurants, but i liked this one the most

The green salad with honey walnuts was super fresh, lovely dressing and superbly done walnuts. A "small" was more than a meal (so glad I didn't order the large!). A starter of Arabic sausages in spicy sauce was very, very tasty - not too spicy but packed with flavour. Service was warm and professional, and the waitress brought us out... More

My partner and I enjoyed some lovely salads - aubergine, hummus etc. For a main course I tried Sinieh- meat patty baked in tahinah- good, although not as flavourful as I've had in the past. The wine is expensive, so we restricted ourselves to a single glass. Even so, it was a worthwhile experience.

We were knackered at the end of a long day, and enjoyed the lovely, relaxing setting of this restaurant. The food was good, though not outstanding. Prices were OK, though seemed a bit high for what we had. Overall it was a good experience.

The ambiance of this restaurant is very warm and welcoming. The service was excellent. And the food - amazing. We were a party of 5 with four different entrees. Everyone was completely satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant and would gladly dine here again soon. The bread is addictive.

Tishreen has established itself as a restaurant that consistently provides good food. The staff is very friendly and the portions generous. Housed in an old Nazarene building, the dining atmosphere is definitely a plus. One thing I don't like however is that tables are placed close together so on a busy day you can not enjoy a private conversation. Also... More

We were a company of six visiting the restaurant on a busy Saturday noon. We made a reservation and had a responsive hostess to manage it. An automated phone call reconfirmed our reservation and when we asked to delay it by half an hour they have been responsive as well. Trained personnel, attractive indoors, fine atmosphere and great food are... More

Everything on the menu looked amazing, including some things I would have never thought to try (Fig and Cactus Salad?) I got some fried cheese which were like really amazing mozzarella sticks. Staff were friendly and spoke very good English. Prices seemed reasonable for the food.

Nice romantic atmosphere, authentic arab food, great service, big courses, high prices. Don't miss the oven-baked special courses!

We had a great time at Tishreen. Good atmosphere and cocktail, excellent seafood (shrimps & calamari) and "from the oven", reasonably priced, and superb service.
