Just ok mexican

Ate here again because we always have when in the area, which is infrequent. The food seems more average than it was in the last 30 years. Will look for some spicier food next time.

Good Times. Plenty of food with great service and fun atmosphere. Eat here often. Good Mexican food and a pretty nice little steak. If you pass thru town and don't eat here you will miss out on a SE New Mexico treat.

I checked the reviews of this place before we went and I was skeptical. However, I visted on a Sunday, when nearly every restaurant is closed. I had zero expectations walking in here, so maybe that affected my experience. The salsa wasn't so bad, not super spicy and not so weak either. The chips were decent too. I ordered the... More

Salsa wasn't bad. Tacos were actually pretty decent. The Pollo Loco chicken was good. Sure, the rice is buffet rice. The service was fine but seemed to be stretched thin. They worked with a table behind us that refused to eat one of their plates due to their complaints (not sure what the complaints were) and those customers left in... More

The service was not bad, but the food was not very good. Too bad, because the restaurant itself was a cool looking place.

Any movies from the 50s-60s that have a scene in a Mexican restaurant will give you the vibe of this place. I like the old school look and atmosphere. The service was good, nothing special however, nothing to complain about either. The food was the same as the service, nothing special however, nothing to complain about either. On my next... More

If you are expecting a good mexican food experience, best not go here. In all honesty I don't know how a restaurant can have such little concern with flavor and stay in business as long as they have. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole, the guacamole was green but that's about it as far as resembling guacamole. The salsa... More

Went there on a Sunday evening. Place was moderately crowded but I was seated quickly. Chips and salsa were good...salsa was nice and warm flavored. Meal was good, a combo type plate with several of their specialties. Perhaps not the most outstanding Mexican food I have had, but it was prepared well and the quantity was filling. Service was a...
