Stopped in at lunch and will be back for more. $4.95 for a small sandwich plate: green chili brisket and two sides. Cafeteria ordering. Place was packed, so sat outside. Real good brisket. Side of sweet baked beans 5 star.

My family and I came in for lunch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a nice selection of food. It was very fresh and delicious. I had the turkey and I loved it. My husband had the green Chile brisket and he liked it. He said it was a little greasy but overall it was good. We... More

We ate at Henry's for dinner during our stay in Artesia. The menu selections and service style will seem familiar to those who frequent Texas barbeque joints; sliced brisket, chopped brisket, sausage links... But don't be fooled, this isn't Texas mesquite smoked barbeque, this is applewood smoked 'cue and the difference is a pleasant surprise. The smoke flavor is milder... More

Henry's does an excellent job of food and service. I arrived near closing time on a week night and was assured it would be no problem to order and enjoy my food as they were closing down. They were right. The simple looking facility smelled great to a hungry traveller and the food matched the initial impression. The pulled pork... More

Quick and clean. Ribs and other meat selections are great, as are the sides. Cafeteria style. Wonderful staff makes you feel at home. We eat there 2-3 times a month.

We passing through on the way to Texas and with an internet search, found Henry's. Not much to look at from the outside but step inside and you are in bbq heaven. That delicious smoky aroma in the area starts your mouth watering. There is a counter (reminded me of Boston market!) where you picked out your meats, then basically... More

We were greeted by the owner as we entered the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Great BBQ smell upon entering. The menu offers numerous meats and side dishes without spending lots of time to read. The food is displayed at a counter and is plated as you voice your choice. Servings are generous. BBQ sauces are at the tables. Drinks are... More

My wife wanted to celebrate an event at work today and we pulled into the lot at Henry's as we continue to sample the eating establishments here in Artesia. We arrived about 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. First thing you get is the smell. That delicious BBQ smell. Inside you come right up against the menu and serving... More

Wow....this was a real surprise. Great food and such friendly service. A very casual place where you move along the line ordering what you want and they are very generous portions. Husband had chicken fried steak (special today) and 'spicy' pinto beans that he loved as a side along with mashed potatoes....all of which were very good. I had an... More

This is not just a great restaurant for Artesia it is a great BBQ period. I had beef and pork ribs that were perfectly smoked, the chili with sausage and brisket chunks was awesome and allowed me to try those items, and the green beans were perfectly seasoned. To top it off the bread pudding was unbelievable and rich enough... More
