We went on a Sunday for lunch and the place was packed which made us optimistic about it. They sat us at the bar, which we didn't mind. Were we in for unpleasant surprises... Sitting near food prepping stations makes you notice things a restaurant would probably like to keep behind closed doors. First, our bartender/waiter was very sick, constantly... More

This charming place is always welcoming- from the very helpful and attentive service to the colorful atmosphere created by a decor made up of items all for sale! The menu is somewhat limited, but what I've tasted is always savory and well prepared. It's located in the heart of the Flea Market, a fun place to explore both before and... More

Went here when the place we had wanted to go was closed and were not disappointed. In amidst all the decoration and all the kitsch was a very nice meeting place/restaurant. Service was not pushy and the staff helped us choose what we wanted for the meal. When we didn't order a drink, water miraculously appeared by the jug. Food... More

Good food, decent wait staff but lovely environs. Lots of eating options in Jaffa, this is a very cute and fun one to go to!

Our friends wanted a meat place in Hatikva but we prefer lighter salads for dinner so I suggested Puaa in the Flea Market. The friends were delighted with the exotic choice that enabled them to have delicious chopped liver and a huge (chicken breast) shnitzle in a truly unique ambiance. The root salad was a bit mediocre while the lentil... More

A very nice restaurant near the flee market in Jaffa. The restaurant is in a small alley and it's easy to find. The decoration is lovely and the food is very tasty.

I reviewed Puaa in 2011 and have visited a few times since. It deserves to be reviewed, praised and recommended again. It remains a terrific place and one of my all time favorites. Looking at other reviews I see that I'm in good company. Puaa has grown in size and since it is now "winter" in Israel they have enclosed... More

A funky place to eat in the Shuk Hapishpishim (Flea Market) area of Jaffa. It has grown since I was last there a few years ago but the ambience is still great, as is the food. Fresh, and plentiful, it offers a great oasis in the gentrifying Jaffa. Great lunch spot.

I decided to try this place out and it was really a pleasant experience. I liked the laid back easy going simplistic feel of this small restaurant with a real cozy homely type feel. It is a high energy place with people coming and going waiting around to eat or just hang out. It is located in old Jaffa on... More

Puaa is situated in Jaffa which is the old part of Tel Aviv. the streets are narrow and the buildings are only 2-3 floors high. it's lovely to walk around and visit the local market . Puaa blends well with that atmosphere it has old furniture and easy going staff. it's easy to find chairs\tables\dishes that one would remember from... More
