nice and comfortable place to eat while in Acre

I love sitting by the sea, watching the boys jumping from the ancient wall to the water, children playing, throwing pita bread to the fish. Using the clean toilet... as for the food - for a vegan gluten free diet the are a lot of possibilities - traditional arab salads mainly.

It was the first Saturday after a terrible week of rain, winds and in some parts, snow. Acre was relatively "slow", tourists were few and the place was great to have a walk through. The Shuk wasn't crowded and it was a delight. We aimed for Abu Christo. 12.30, the (enormous) place had only a few guests. We took a... More

This is a typical tourists' trap in Akko. The food - fish, meats and everything else - is average, at best, with moderate prices, that do not fit the level of the food. The service is rather poor and the loud Arabic or middle eastern music is horrible.

Whenever I go there, which is about once a month, I'm never disappointed by the service or the food. You sit by the ocean and breathe in the ocean air which is great. The price is good too. Romantic as well.

Authentic restaurant , which faces the see. food was good ( specially sea bass). Service was quite slow. The best places to sit are in the veranda alongside the sea , when you can get the sea breeze

While taking a break from everyday's life, we stayed in Acre. Having good memories from some 20 years ago...of this place we set out to have dinner there... well, we enjoyed some seafood, but it was very, very average... the location is great, on the water, and after enduring a extremely hot day, we were looking forward to the cool... We stopped for a lunch at the Abu Christo restaurant while visiting the Old Town of Acre. The restaurant is average. No enthuse no ofend. It´s turist place and I don´t like it, I like typical local restaurants with local people.

My husband and i stopped for a lunch at the Abu Christo restaurant while visiting the Old Town of Acre. The staff was kind and helpful, our waiter, Mohammed offered a table outside, with a great view to the sea. The food was fresh and tasty, very nice served, the prices affordable. The service was great, the coffee and baklawa... More

This is a classic place in Acre. The restaurant itself is in a stunning location right by the water. The service is OK, but not really good. The food is above average, but not spectacular (the Middle Eastern cuisine), Fish dishes however are wonderful and fresh!
