We had our first lunch at Mataram after our drive from Tetebatu village, East Lombok. Building was lovely, deco and setting make you feel that you are in Middle East. Food was delicious and price reasonably cheap. We love this restaurant and will definately return if we come to Lombok again.

I arrange the family gather in this restaurant for the whole family for breaking-fast. The reason why I choose this restaurant was simply because it was Ramadhan month which theres no better place for a family gather and also we did the same thing a year before and everything was good that time. So,,, I booked again with more family... More

Love the building...and the foods were good. I just love the view and the atmosphere. I was there on fasting month and having a break-fasting at Al Hamra was the best thing. I got the feeling like in Middle East countries :D

I'm reminded of " Borat " movie. It's an Arabian themed restaurant in Lombok. They didn't have humus!!!!! In fact no tahini or garlic. But they did serve my mixed Arabian grill with fries. My wife's lamb chops were just odd. On the good side it's cheap and clean and nice iced tea. The samosa was also good and lots... More

Close to hotel Santika with 5 mn walk, the Hamra restaurant is an Oasis of quietness with nice and varied food. Staff speak a little of English and as a foreigner, they make me feel at home. Chiche Taiuk and Samosa are excellent for a very good price.

Good Arab food in Mataram This restaurant in the centre of the city, <1 kilometer from teh Mall is highly recommended. It is owned by one of the old Arab families of Ampenan who have been resident in Lombok for around 800 years. Beautifully furnished the food was authentic Arab fare. The Kambing Bakar (Grilled Goat) was particularly good as... More

I visited this restaurant to check the food for possible use at my wedding and was very disappointed. Shikabas can with skewed hodog sausage ? And French fries...!

I would not have considered trying Arab food if I was not a great fan of the gotolombok web site, they are always letting us know about new and interesting places to go to in Lombok, particularly when you receive their monthly email newsletters. So I went to Al Hamra, and the experience wowed me. The staff all seem to... More
