A Garden Experience

The entrance to the place was very unique and different from other restaurants in the city. Something about it made it stand out from the rest. We mainly selected this restaurant given the description of the ambiance which indeed was very pleasant. It felt a bit like the Cabbages & Condoms restaurant in Bangkok, i.e. great ambiance but catering more towards tourists. When we were there on a Monday evening, we were the only guests. Low season perhaps? The staff although they tried was fairly clueless.

When the taxi drivers finally found the place, we were pleased we’d had our "adventure" to get there! We visited on Wednesday evening so it was quiet. The restaurant is large with a very attractive atmosphere– palm matting roof, lots of plants, wooden floors, stream running through (not a mosquito in sight though….). The food arrived promptly and was very... More

Great combo: ambience and comfort food. The courtyard filled with tropical greeneries is the star here. It is the perfect relaxing place for meet-ups. AC and non AC venues. Great local snacks and coffee. Serves more substantial food too. You can also get your (over-the-)top quality dessert from the adjoining shop. Direction: Jalan Babura Lama is about 50 meter on... This place is particularly famous for their fried duck. A must have, if you like ducks. I tried it but find it a bit too chewy for my taste. What I liked the most is the ambience they created. It feels like dining in a garden with soft music in the background, surrounded by plants and flowers. And the best... More

The food is Indonesian , a lot of choice and very well prepared. The service was good and quick , the ambiance great with water flowing down the middle of the restaurant , a lot of local people which is always a good sign , and also moderate prices (not the cheapest but not expensive either). I would recommend the... More
