Soto Ambengan Pak Sadi

This restaurant is famous in Surabaya. Their famous food is Soto Ambengan, a thick soup with chiken meat etc. Taste good.... In the lunch time it's so crowded and very hard to park your car. The price is reasonable......the place is hot....

This used to be one of the top, top culinary outlet in Surabaya. No more!! Was extremely disappointed when I visited last Sunday. The soto is so watery that it was barely edible. No wonder there's hardly any other guests, years ago the place would have been jam packed on a Sunday morning. Sad that they cannot manage to maintain... More

Love their soto so much. With unlimited koya (condiment made from shrip crackers and garlic) and choice of chicken topping (meat, skin or even jeroan), this resto never disappoint me.

I would like to share my recent experience dining at one of my favorite establishment when I was still in my junior high : Soto Ambengan. I still remembered the first time I ate at the same exact establishment was over 30+ years ago when my family took me to this place. Ever since, I had visited it many times... More

The consistency of the taste of this chicken broth soup everywhere (be it in Jakarta or Surabaya where I have tasted them) is unbeatable, they will taste the same everywhere. A simple and nice soup, you can choose to mix or separate the rice with the soup served ( my advice is make is separated for the first time)

The consistency of taste and the rich ingredient are the standard of the soup. I think the creator put really a lot of effort to make the taste consistence, even in any branches, the taste was standardized.

when i was childhood time, my parents always eat the legend soto ayam in ambengan. Until now, the taste still authentic, unique, and still legend for me. A bowl of chicken soup with chicken fillet and koya (a ruin of shrimp crackers) make a joyful and feeling memories.

If you want to try the Surabaya's legendary coto (or you can call it soup), you must try this one. The seasoning is really great. The place is clean, and the staff is very quick. Just wait for 3 minutes after your order and voila, it is on your table. But fot the price I think is a little overprice.... More
