Sarkies serves chinese fushion cooking along with a few indonesian and collonial (we called it 'peranakan belanda') dishes. It's truly a great great surprise when we chose to have our dinner at Sarkies at Hotel Majapahit. Got to say, it's one of the most delicious Chinese/Fusion restaurants I've ever had for my life. The service is quite nice, and the food is so amazing that I would like to thank the Chef of the night then for creating... More

We stayed one night at the Majapahit Hotel in Surabaya and after seeing the traffic situation decided to have dinner at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel. Every dish we had was incredible and well presented, very high quality. Service is very professional and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. The price was perhaps on the high side for Indonesia but... I was there early, about 7, so that might have been the problem. But it was a Saturday night, so I still found it surprising. I had made a reservation and wanted to give them a try, so I came on in. Major problems here with the menu. It's very difficult to tell what is a main course and what... More

When I was a child, I've been here once and I enjoyed it a lot that years after that, I still want to eat here again. I went here again on march 2014 with my 80 years old grandma. The first problem we encountered was the stairs. Of course my grandma couldn't climb stairs. The staffs were very helpful. They... More

My family and I had the breakfast buffet a few months ago. Surprisingly, compared to the taste and the quality of the food in the past, it did not meet our expectation this time. All of them were just ok.

Great Chinese food, friendly staffs and amazing colonial setting. We were impressed by the food, everything was delicious. Admitedly, we didn't try the famous Peking Duck, but the other Signature Dishes that we tried were delish. The price is reasonable, especially compared to Jakarta's price. Since the restaurant is rarely full, I suggest that you call ahead if you want... More

Delicious food, highly recommend the Peking Duck but to be honest all our dishes which were very varied being six people were delicious. Could not fault the food. Also lovely dining area.

Recently we had dinner at Sarkies. We had been there before, and their duck was nice. Last time we went there, we ordered the complete duck, devided over three courses. After 10 minutes the waiter came back to our table, telling that the duck was finished...what's this...? Sarkies is just known for their Duck, and than they didnt have it..we... More
