Spending an hour at this place is certainly worth it. Watching the ladies rolling the cigarettes is simply amazing. Visit the gift shop and the cafe is a good way to end the visit.
See the history of the tobacco company interesting even if you do not smoke. Fascinating to see the speed they roll the cigarettes. Brian was a great tourguide. Also they have a number of free city tours available throughout the day, but be early (around...9am) as they are filling up quick. The food and drinks are nice but pricey for Indonesia, but do able.More
We went along as a family and found the history very interesting. Would suggest you request a guide as you enter the building as they are very knowledgeable. Also go before 11am if you want to watch the hand rolling taking place. That's worth watching...as the women look like they are in a fast forward movie. We loved it and felt we learnt more about this industry in Indonesia and the Cafe's very good too.More
