The restaurant is pretty chique, not comparable to other restaurants we have seen in Solo/Surakarta. It's situated centrally and serves upscale traditional Indonesian food as well as classical Dutch dishes.

We went with a group of 10 friends. We were the only people in the restaurant. Service was ok and friendly. Some of us had a typical indonesian meal, which for some was not good at all and very small portions. Others had more western meals or the wagyu steak/brochette, which was excellent! So meanings differ and depend on the... More

Had dinner here with family and business associates. The place is very homy. It is decorated with various Javanese art pieces, from scultures, paintings to batiks. The food is OK for Indonesian standard, and the price is a bit high for Indonesian restaurant (US$3-US$15 per dish), but the service and the atmosphere are worth the money. A very comfortable place... More

Big fancy restaurant, with grand piano & all, attached to Danar Hadi Batik Museum & shop. Good food, good service with rather unexpected cheap price! They're not serving alcohol though.

What a lovely, unexpected surprise in Solo! I have been to the Museum Danar Hadi before and had seen the cafe, but it's so beautiful I thought it was a fine dining, expensive restaurant. My hotel recommended this resto, which is in the Danar Hadi compound, so I gave it a shot. The ambiance is gorgeous: beautiful comfortable upholstered chairs,... More
