Standard Sundanese Food

Love the plates. They use old fashioned plate dishes and cups. When we came, they had a shooting with Mayor of Depok City. They were introducing Nasi Jagung as their new menu. As a foreigner visiting Indonesia this little place is a must. Its a great place serving a huge buffet style range of authentic sundanese fare which is all cooked in front of you. The place is packed every night with locals which is a testament to its popularity and the atmosphere is buzzing. My tip is to avoid eating in... More

Yes we many times visited this restaurant with traditional style service. They use metal plate dishes and cups the Indonesian traditional eating tools. Food taste are very delicious with self service taking the menu. But we have also bad experience when we ate at night about 7 pm. We all got stomacahe and movit. The metal plates are almost corrosive... More

Try this ONLY if you like sundanese food. They have this 'nostalgic' concept which make them famous. The plates are made of tins which is quite common many years ago in Indonesia especially in Java. Plenty of choices, most of the dishes are pre-cooked so make sure you ask them to re-heat it if you don't like cold dish. Their... More

This is a very tradional, village-style restaurant, in the main area of Bandung city, nearby the 'Gedung Sate'.. When I said 'village', I really mean that... You eat on a tin plate like most Indonesians do in the old times.., sit 'lesehan' style... Ensure that you come just before lunch time where, or you will have to go through a... More

By traditional atmosphere, I mean dirty place, tin plate, tin mug, and cheap plastic glass. But, the food is excellent. If you want to taste high quality sundanese food, this is place to go. Try their Tutug Oncom, it's the best in town. And, if you want to really enjoy your food, try coming outside normal eating hours, if not,... More

If you want to try Sundanese food in Bandung, this place is one of the right place. A lot of choices of the Sundanese food and quite cheap, so so. Sometimes, this place is too crowded that the queue will be too long. For me, the place is not really comfortable. Also, the place is quite dirty, you can find... More
