Definetly worth it if you love duck

Tried this for the first time last year after being recommended the best crispy duck in bali my friends - the food is authentic and delicious indeed. Set in a huge Balinese estate with lots of small little hut like space for dining. The Balinese sambal matah is to die for!

After a self drive through from kuta to mount batur and finally into ubud, we were tired...The place was perfect. ..peaceful, great relaxed ambience overlooking paddy fields. Cd remove our shoes and stretch our feet! Great food and service! Very busy street outside, the valet parking actually decided it for us!

In fact, I was told by a local Balinese that they seldom eat duck, but this place is getting more and more popular for the tourist. Places are nice and services are great. Dirty duck taste good but the sauce for the dirty duck might be too spicy for people not enjoying spicy food. Free Wi-Fi provided but I never... More

Obviously popular as it was so full. However did not enjoy the food or the service. We had no cutlery even after the food had come. The bill was taking forever, finally went up to the cashier and paid.

We thought the restaurant had a decent menu and so went in. We were lead back onto what can almost be described as a "campus" of a restaurant extending out to a rice paddy, with multiple tiers and styles of seating. Beautiful layout, food was good, drinks were good, prices were reasonable.

We weren't impressed with the Dirty Duck Diner. It was far too expensive for the type of food on offer, which was not especially well made. It seems to be a place just for tourists to go to once. You'd find better and less expensive food at any number of warungs around town.

The famous crispy duck is basically a duck with no meat (seemed like breast was cut out) that was deep fried. It is greasy and doesn't taste like anything. The side dishes were so spicy we could not eat them.

Ordered the special bebek tutu (smoked duck) set for 2 24 hrs in advance. Advance booking is required as it takes that long for the kitchen to slow cook it to tender perfection. Set comes with fruit punch, a basket of white rice, crackers, 1 whole smoked duck, 6 sticks of sate and vegetables. The fiance and I were given... More

My Indonesian friend brought us here for lunch on our first day in Ubud. The place is huge! I had the crispy duck and I couldn't get enough! So delicious! My fiancé had nasi goreng as he was just getting over a stomach flu and that was really good aswell! Definitely recommend Bebek Bengil :)
