Description: Murni, the owner of the equally famous Murni's Houses and Tamarind Spa, opened Ubud's first real restaurant in 1974 and it remains first in the hearts of many people today. The menu is varied and delicious and you can enjoy your drinks and meals and surf the Web using the free WiFi on one of four levels overlooking the river. Level 1: When you enter Murni's Warung, the first thing you'll notice is the view of the greenery on the river's hillside. The steel cable in the foreground supports the bridge next door. On the way to your table, you'll walk past a display cabinet of cakes and pastries that you should take a look at -- just so you'll know how much room to save for dessert. The restaurant is decorated with art from Murni's collection, including the small carvings high on the walls. Level 2: The large statue of Ganesha, the Elephant God, that greets you in the Lounge Bar was commissioned in 1997 and completed in early 2002. He and Murni are about the same height. This is a great place to have cocktails or meet friends for a drink. You can also eat here. Level 3: We generally reserve this level for parties, wedding receptions and birthday parties or when the Warung is overflowing. It can seat about 50-60 people. Level 4: And finally you arrive just above the river. You'll enjoy the sound of flowing water with your candlelit dinner in the midst of exotic surroundings. Murni's Warung Shop is a good place to wander in while you are waiting for your meal. And enjoy our books, Forty Delicious Years and Secrets of Bali.

The duck at Murnis was moist and full on flavour. Chicken was almost as good. Both were served with extra 'gravy' - so good. Staff were so friendly & welcoming. Lower level views are fab. Price is very good. Family of 4 with drinks under $40 Aust

It was a bit of a search to find this warung. We started walking and expected it on the Main Street. But you have to go down on the mountain till the bridge and the it is just before that. The food was really good! And the staff was funny. My bintang was in a champagne cooler so the waitress... More

Munri's Warung is the oldest restaurant in Ubud. It is the oldest...more than 40 years...because it is one of the best. To travel to Ubud and not eat there would be a mistake. The food is Indonesian served in generous portions and with a flavor not to be forgotten. We travel to Ubud often and will dine at Munri times... More

Great ambience, nice staff, and their green pancakes (banana) made us go there every day while in Ubud. We stopped by also for lunch, which was tasty and affordable as pretty much anything else there, but their pancakes were our favorite by far.

We tracked this restaurant down after reading a good review about it in an Australian newspaper. The vegetable tempura and stuffed mushrooms were excellent. The vegetarian burger was ok. Beautiful decor.

We loved the restaurant, service, food, and ambiance. We had a delicious martini with lechei (not sure that's right) fruit in it and our server/bartender was great. Make sure to visit this place at least once for lunch or dinner

Murni's sits on the bridge in Ubud and had been recommended to us. We had another friend visiting, so we decided to try. Beers were cold for the boys and my Piña Colada was exceptional. We took our own bottle of red wine and were not charged corkage - first tick :) The boys shared the chicken satay sticks for... More
