We went on a day trip to Ubud which was sooo busy. Our driver dropped us at the rice fields and we stumbled across pomegranate. It was such a relaxing place after busy Kuta and Ubud and verycool.. Little cushions to sit on and such a lovely view. The food was fine... Basic Asian food, pizza or dips and a... More

The cafe is away from the city noise, surrounded by the rice paddies. It has a cool vibe to it, you can sit on pillows or on seats. The food didn't excite the taste buds too much, but was alright.

We were excited about pomegranate from our first day in Ubud. A friend had highly recommended it based on its location in the rice paddies. While the view is indeed serene, the food was terrible, kitchen unhygienic and service not up to par for the prices you pay. In addition, a local rice farmer working the fields took out his... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first day in Ubud. Walking through the rice fields just before sunset it was so inviting! A circular platform, gazebo style roof and Has tables and chairs and bean bag style low tables if you prefer to sit near the edge. For our first visit we just had a few bintangs whilst talking... My wife and I stumbled across this place whilst out walking. From the path it just looks like a glorified tent, and for all intensive purposes it is. Do not be put off by this. We managed to get a floor table right by the edge of the restaurant area over looking the rice fields. It was an excellent view.... More

There is no better place to go for a drink and to watch the sunset than Cafe Pomegranate! It is an unforgettable, magical place. The restaurant is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud and the hike there alone is spectacular. Set in the rice paddies, the tent like structure of Cafe Pomegranate is distinct within the landscape.... More

I've been here about four-five times as it boasts a good view of rice field and the much-needed peace and quiet from Ubud's busy buzz. Although it is a great place to just get away for a bit or meeting up with friends, food-wise, Pomegranate left something to be desired. The Japanese menu, supposedly the cafe's main specialty, was sadly... More

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants, not only in Bali, but anywhere. Why? Well, the food, service & view just cannot be beat. And to top it off, getting there is half the fun: it's about a half hour walk along the walking path that commences inauspiciously on Jl. Raya in Ubud. I went there twice with... More
