Best Rendang in Ubud

Plus a welcoming host and a comfortable ambience up from the lane. Fellow diners told me several other dishes were also very good. Good for a relaxed evening meal.

Bernadette, herself, was on the scene and was charming, vibrant and gracious. I really enjoyed the food. I ate their specialty dish, wish came in a vegetarian version that was made with jackfruit and was one of the most convincing meat substitutes I have had. It was delicious and came with several side dishes, including a corn fritter, coconut curry... More

We had this Warung as number 3 of our suggestions for dinner, but were happy to end here. No 1 and 2 had stopped serving dinner at 9pm. We were starving after a long day, and was delighted to be met by a big smile and a big Yes - please be seated. We had Samosas and Beef Rengang, and... More

Meal - we had samosas, beef rendang and Javanese black beef soup as mains. Samosas were average however the mains were both were delicious, recommended. Generous portions as well. Restaurant was quite full even late at night, the owners were really friendly and not the usual hard sellers, decor is lovely and charming. Would be nice with Indonesian music rather... More

Really nice place! Had to wait for a table since the place was really packed in the evening. Food tasted delicious and was not too expensive. And the Rendang is as good as described :)

Although they were good on taste, it took an hour to bring our starter, which was only a samosa. Didn't get any drinks only till our main course. Place looks neat with all kinds of arty stuff. Maybe just today but it seems they haven't enough capacity in the front and in the back.

The place is on the best street of Ubud, with no much traffic and pretty little shops. The food was good. I tried a Curry I liked very much and a Gado Gado.

This place caught my eye in first place for it's creative and eclectic decoration. The second time I went I met Bernadette and we clicked right away. She's the most friendly person ever, warm and welcoming. She's proud of her food and will go out of her way to help you feel like at home, while you are under her... More

The best beef rendang in Ubud? In Bali? In Indonesia? Here is certainly a very good version of this rich sticky slow cooked classic. Lots more local favourites to. And a magificent display of chandeliers for good measure. I like the gentle traffic flow on Jalan Goutama. Savour your rendang in peace.
