It has always been Bernadette's dream to open a waroeng that serves her childhood favorite dishes growing up in Java, made the way her mother, grandmother and aunties used to make it. Adrienne has been exporting Indonesian handicrafts to clients all over the world since she moved to Bali in 1992. For the first time her creations have been made available in Bali in the Waroeng. Jackfruit rendang a vegetarian kapow!

Quirky little place with really authentic west Javanese food. Bernadette was there being very cool in her high-tops when we ate and she helped me out with a very authentic selection of vegan dishes from the menu - the first of which was a version of Cap Cay I think. The Gado Gado is also meant... read more

Best Rendang I've ever tasted, and best meal on this trip to Bali. I don't buy that the beef was cooked for 12 hours as per the menu, as it was a little tough. That said the Rendang was very special & I am going back again tonight for more. Nice decor & very friendly.

In love with their food!! I came here every night (3 days in a row :) ) during my stay in Ubud. I've tried their Siomay (i can promise you its fresh), Samosa (can't stop munching it), Ketoprak and my FAVORITE, Perkedel Jagung! And last but not least, their famous Rendang (basically they make the meat so soft, and it... More

I love to visit here for real Java-style gado gado, not tourist style. The decorations are for sale and make the place very unique. Friendly service and good prices too.

Ordered gado gado, beef rendang and nasi goreng. Rendang is a must try food which it came with beef, chicken or vegetable. They are all braised with spice and other ingredient for 12 hours. Price is average and should be slightly cheaper when compared to those nearby options. Friendly staff and family-style operation. We found the owner was sit at... More

Bernadette is in the middle of Ubud town and we ate there in April 2015 in a group of 4 people. IF you like good Javanese food, this place is laid back and cheap with a bonus of good hearty portions.

Food was very much average and an unexpected 15.5% tax and service charge (in a warung?!) made this a poor rating.

This restaurant has really good Indonesian food at reasonable prices, given its location in the center of Ubud. The decoration is all made of art objects that you can buy. Nice staff. Recommend
