The friendly owner and delightful waitresses make eating here such a pleasant experience. Hidden away, elevated on a quiet road we were so pleased to find this place. Came first for a beer and returned for a delicious coconut curry. Definitely search this place out if you are in town.

I read several reviews saying that we definitely had to book a table in advance. But this was not at all necessary when we were there. Depends very much on when you go in the day I suppose. The staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. I had the best coconut milkshake I have ever had, and all the food... More

I really like going here - until it was clear that they said they were booked to keep tables open. Not once did i walk in when they couldn't 'squeeze me in' as long as I was out in 25mins...I know it makes good business sense but I got bored of it. Still, it is delicious food and service is... Me and my husband knew this restaurant was around but couldn't find it on the first couple of days then we stumbled across it, we knew we might have to book for another day, but we still went in on the chance they could fit us in, and they did, the staff were all friendly with smiles all the time,... We visit Bali about twice a year, and always try to get to Melting Wok. Why? Dependable service and food. Perhaps best in Ubud. We introduced new friends to Ubud a few weeks ago, and also to Melting Wok... they are still raving about both. Downside? It is becoming so popular that booking for the evening is a must, and... Desserts are better than the actual main dishes. Carmel-cremem w/ coconut milk is delicious. Menu is standard with ever changing specials. Owner talks to most tables herself, but has strong French accent. Restraraunt seats a aximum of 6 at a table so beware not meant for large groups! It took our driver a bit to find so make sure you... Best food I had while in Bali - went back three times. Owned by a lovely French lady and the other girls working there are amazing as well! Sad I can't go there again any time soon.
