This delightful small family owned restaurant was where we found the best food and friendliest service in Ubud, Bali. Delicious home mademeals at very reasonable prices. We went back time and time again.

Let me say from the start that this review is biased! It is biased because I have been to Savannah Moon dozens of times, for breakfasts, lunches and dinners; I am friendly with the family who run the place and I regard this restaurant as my "default" eatery in Ubud. I like everything about the place. The location is on... More

We were lucky enough to have this restaurant recommended to us by a fellow traveler who happened to be caught under the same overhang during a rainstorm. When we approached the place we were afraid it would be just another ex-pat/tourist restaurant with westernized food choices at westernized prices because of the posh modern/local mix of decor. The menu reflected... More

Such a lovely surprise! Balinese home cooking in a Balinese home. They are so welcoming and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were spot on. Try the duck in the banana leaves!

A total treat. Forget what people say about the size of the portions, coffee is two bucks and a great meal $2-4.5. Lovely family service and excellent food. Try the duck in banana leaves.

We had a lovely meal here late at night, close to our hotel. My husband had the smoked duck which he loved, and I had a little pizza, which was good (though the crust could use some work). Very nice staff- wished we would have gone to try their breakfast!

Ok first off I was forewarned by previous reviews about the serving sizes, but still they were shockingly and disconcertingly small. Pizza was at best entree size, the smoked duck in vine leaves (while delicious) was at best 3 or 4 mouthfuls! There's small and then there's just ridiculous! But most ridiculous was the "Roast Fetta Salad" - which in... More

This café is a little gem. My friend and I were staying in the White Lotus which is across the road so most mornings got our breakfast delivered from Savannah Moon. The food was great each meal that we got and the young man serving us was always very polite, attentive and always smiling. There is also a lovely art... More

Dinner at Savannah tonight and what a lovely surprise. Food was delicious (and very cheap!). Portions are small by western standards but for 25000rp (currently $2.50AUD) for a main meal, that really isn't a problem (actually, it is quite nice to enjoy a 'normal' sized meal). We ordered the chicken curry and beef rendang and both were delicious - the... More
