My husband and I went to this restaurant on our last night in Ubud and absolutely loved it. We planned to go to Swept Away with another couple, not knowing that they had just been there the night prior, but rather than them being disappointed with returning to the same restaurant again, their faces both lit up immediately when they... This is our favorite restaurant in Bali. While staying at the Samaya Ubud, we had dinner every night at this restaurant. Swept Away is right next to the Ayung river, and they serve lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. The food and service are top notch. We really liked everything we ordered, and the duck foie gras, beef tenderloin, wagyu shortrib... More

The restaurantmanager and his staff were very friendly and helpfull. The food was very good. The organisation of the 100 candles dinner was perfect, mindblowing and unforgettable.

Warm welcome from the moment you arrive at the gate and so well organized. By the time we reached the reception they already had a buggy on its way to take us down to the restaurant. Well done this is what I call exceptional service. Another warm welcome awaited us from the manager when we arrived at the restaurant. This... More

We went for dinner to Swept away and we were happy with the restaurant. The food was great with good size portions. Service was very attentive. The only thing is that you have take a golf cart ride down a steep hill to go to the restaurant and if you ride backwards as we were invited to do, it might... More

Swept Away restaurant offers the almost perfect setting for dinner in Ubud. Placed directly at the river you can have very special experiences especially at night (candle light dinners etc). Food, drinks and wine are delicious. There is a choice between an a la carte menu or two tasting menus. Staff is super friendly and always there when needed. Swept... More

Unique setting - absolutely gorgeous. We were not expecting much from the food, but it was surprisingly good - the Indonesian fare at least. I ordered the pork ribs and they were out of this world good - classic beat falling off the bone - with a tangy Indonesian combination of veggies and rice. My wife is vegetarian and she... More

We had a "100 Candle Light" dinner at the restaurant which includes a private table by the water surrounded by 100 candles. In addition, the grass was decorated with different rose petals. Our table alone was covered with rose petals that outlined a heart. There was also a private seating closer to the water where you can enjoy the scenery... More

My wife and I went to Bali for our honeymoon and were overwhelmed by the island's beauty, friendly people and wonderfully colorful and flavorful food we enjoyed while we were there, but Swept Away was over the top in all of those categories. The experience started with the friendly email exchange between the restaurant manager and me regarding our reservation,... More
