Friendly with delicious Indonesian food

The reviews I Had read re this restaurant raved about it so much I was sceptical. In fact, it was wonderful. The food was simple, with only a few dishes on the menu, but very good. It is a very friendly place, family-run, on a quiet street away from the noise of Ubud's Main Street. We were... read more

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small with only a few tables, so we actually were able to talk to other patrons (who all happened to be American as well). The food was really good and very affordable. I highly recommend checking this place out, you won't regret it!

YOU MUST GO HERE! I visited Wild ginger this evening with my mother after reading trip advisor reviews. We were warmly welcomed and seated. The restaurant is small only 5 tables but it was a beautiful atmosphere (candles and trickling water). I had the chicken kecap. Mums a picky eater and they were very helpful and accommodating and changed the... More

Beautiful small restaurant run by local family. Was the best meal we had in Ubud. It is down quite a dark street and a little out of the way but definitely worth it. Probably about 5-10min walk from main shopping district of Ubud. Also very cheap. We tried the recommended meals, fantastic.

This is what we were looking for on Bali. Little, soulful places where food is prepared with love. This restaurant is a hidden pearl, a bit outside of the buzz in a dark street. It's a small family owned restaurant (4 tables). With a small menu there's not much choice but everything served here is just delicious. It's authentic Indonesian... More

From all the reviews of this place, you can't but get excited. This very small restaurant (about 4 tables) was great and we can see why so many people return. The food tasted amazing, so much so that we would have eaten the whole meal twice over. I recommended to others who were passing through and so do search it... More

My friends and I had the pleasure of dining at Putu's Wild Ginger a couple weeks ago during a trip to Ubud. It was a recommendation of our villa (Villa Madu) which was just a few short minutes walk down the road so very convenient. We also saw the good TripAdvisor reviews so figured it was worth a shot. It... More

The best Indonisian food I've ever eaten. And for a very reasonable price! The staff is incredible welcoming and genuinely friendly. Don't miss the opportunity to taste Putu's food if you stop in Ubud.

Little warung, walking distance from the center. The food is made with love and you can taste that! The dressing on the advocado chicken salad is to die for. Putu keeps the recepy a secret. Main dishes also perfect Relaxed atmosphere. We felt really wellcome. Thanks for the wonderfull diner.

Honestly we went all the way up there three times - day and night, and it was always closed. Gutted we couldn't try. Maybe they should clear a little bit the working hours somewhere on the door or some sort.
