The grounds are better than food

I took their signature crispy duck dish and it was not that great for the price of US$10. But the grounds are lush and spacious so that makes up for it.

So so bad. My dad and boyfriend had the duck and it was incinerated bones on a plate. Barely any meat. I had the lemon chicken and couldn't eat it. Meat was tough and cold. Don't go here! We never will again.

Despite some of the TA reviews I thought I'd try this place. The original dirty duck / bengill bebeck. I ordered the 1/2 duck which was pretty good not loads of meat ( well less than you'd get from 1/4 @ home ) staff were ok not amazing but defiantly not rubbish. It all went down hill when I'd finished... More

The service was awful, took ages to get the main. Waiving down waitresses was painful. The duck was overated, tasted dry over cooked and has very little eatable meat. The crispy chicken was the same. Pita bread entree was average as well. The scenery is nice but that is all it has going for it.

Food was great, magic surrounds but portions were small for the price, it was our most expensive meal this visit, but the food was nice.

The restaurant is considered to be a landmark in Ubud. I felt the food was a bit over-rated. Ask for a table on the upper level at the far end. It's quiet and has a nice view of the rice paddies. A bit overpriced. Nothing very exciting.

We went there for my hubbys birthday dinner and once we entered the ambience looked amazing. The price is way too much for indonesian standards. The food was good but was again dissappointed with the portion.

My travelling companions raved about their crispy duck and that we must have it when we were in Bali. I found the duck to be as crispy as it claimed but the overall taste is normal partly because the meat was dry. There were 10 of us in our group and we found some of them had ducks that were... We went to the Dirty Duck on some good recommendations from friends but the duck that my wife had was almost inedible!! I had crispy chicken & it tasted like beef jerky. I don't know how that they can get chicken sooo tough & chewy. It seems like they are surviving on new business because I don't think that they... More

The restaurant opens up out the back, it's huge with beautiful gardens. The food was utterly amazing, so delicious. Expensive yes, but so indulgent. The crispy duck and duck and melon soup both so delicious and amazing. Sitting in a hut eating and drinking was so beautiful and relaxing. Totally loved it!!
