Lovely scenery but quite expensive by Balinese standards

I ordered the famous duck here and the meal was nice as was the service and the restaurant. The restaurant itself seemed quite westernised to me and didn't have the charm of a lot of smaller restaurants i've been to. My meal was nice but it was quite expensive by Balinese standards. As mentioned, the food was great, but to get the wait staffs attention to order, get the bill, etc., was a bit challenging.

This place had a lot of hype about the duck so we thought we would try it. We ordered the half duck with sides (rice and Balinese veggies). We shared between two people as we were not that hungry- this was a perfect size to share if not too hungry. It was 125,000 for this which is a bit expensive... More

We were recommended to eat here by our driver. They are supposed to be famous for their duck dish. So we ordered the crispy duck set which is their specialty. The duck was not bad, but the rest of the food was underwhelming. Add the tourist price and it doesn't really warrant a second visit. The restaurant itself is pretty... More

The food was horrible, their "specialty" duck was a dry inedible poor excuse for food. The price was WAY too high and the most expensive meal in Bali. Do yourself a favour and don't go here!

Like most of Ubud, this garden oasis looks dodgy from the front but is gorgeous inside! A beautiful restaurant set amid gardens, fountains and more. Private tables and good service, too. The crispy duck was outstanding, the other food good enough. Get the crispy duck! So good.

Pro: great location, excellent view Con: very skinny but expensive duck (125k) which was so 'crispy', that most of the meat had disappeared. You pay more than double of what other, much much better places charge, and it isn't half as good. Not worth it.

Solo traveler, remembered the name from TA and based on company claims gave it a go. Yup the crispy duck disaster! Thermo nuclear cooked leaving bones and rock hard inedible skin. Service was OK and in retrospect I realize the waitress was trying to discourage me from ordering their signature mummified duck. I would have had no problem with the... More
