Bali meets Italy. Art meets food. Tradition meets passion. Italian tradition and innovation in the magic Balinese context is what we are. Our Handmade Gelato is produced with the best raw materials available in the market. Milk and cream are our main allies in high-quality gelato production, together with organic fresh eggs, white-cane sugar, cocoa, raw chocolate, Italian hazelnuts and natural pistachio. In addition, we use the great local fruits of Bali, the exciting natural aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and coffee with its aromatic notes. With these ingredients, we are able to offer excellence. Our Handmade Gelato has a low fat content—fruit water ices which naturally have no fat. We do not use artificial aromas, nor food colourings, nor anything else that is artificial. Preservatives are absolutely prohibited. Our Handmade Gelato follows raw-material recipes and procedures for production, storage, and sales that are all strictly documented and adhered to, ensuring the highest level of quality control. In addition, we include one essential ingredient: Passion.

OMG! 10 minutes of pure joy enjoying your cone!

There is nothing like Gaya. As soon as you enter, you smell the freshly baked cones. My fav combination is chocolate flavor with a fruit flavor. They do not have a lot of flavors but all are worth it. Fruit flavors depend on the season of course. But if you are lucky try the sirsak, mangoosteen... read more

Gaya Gelato was originally set up by Massimo and Colette who used to run a gelato business in Italy. So you know it's going to be good. Everything is made with the best possible ingredients - high quality milk and cream, organic eggs, etc. And then there's the flavorings which are so very Bali, using fresh local spices like vanilla,... If you are looking for a sweet treat or just happen to be in the proximity of Gaya Gelato, I would recommend that you pop in and sample one of their ice creams. I am not the biggest fan of gelato but the options on offer here certainly had me converted.

Maybe it's the hot weather, but this Gelato is incredible and well worth the short trip out of Ubud centre to the gelato home store in Sayan to taste everything! There are even private villas here to rent - so you're even closer to the mother load!

The selection was very limited, and I do wish they had mint flavor, but overall I was happy with what I got. 25K for a small cup (2 'scoops'), a bit pricey. Although the taste was milkier than regular gelato (tasted more like ice cream), I liked that it was not too sweet like the ubiquitous & overrated Gelato Secret.... More

There is a way to get to Gaya that involves walking on the very narrow banks of a large area of rice fields, if that strikes you as fun. That's what my friends and I did, and it was a truly wonderful hike. But, if you can't or don't do it that way, just get yourselves to Gaya Gelato. Wow!... More

One of must get in Ubud to satisfy my holiday is their coffer n Gluten free cone. We always want to get over and over again, even daily. The soft texture gelato is easily melting in your cone then drops to your hands. Ask for an extra cup for your cone gelato to hold the drops.
