Description: Bali meets Italy. Art meets food. Tradition meets passion. Italian tradition and innovation in the magic Balinese context is what we are. Our Handmade Gelato is produced with the best raw materials available in the market. Milk and cream are our main allies in high-quality gelato production, together with organic fresh eggs, white-cane sugar, cocoa, raw chocolate, Italian hazelnuts and natural pistachio. In addition, we use the great local fruits of Bali, the exciting natural aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and coffee with its aromatic notes. With these ingredients, we are able to offer excellence. Our Handmade Gelato has a low fat content—fruit water ices which naturally have no fat. We do not use artificial aromas, nor food colourings, nor anything else that is artificial. Preservatives are absolutely prohibited. Our Handmade Gelato follows raw-material recipes and procedures for production, storage, and sales that are all strictly documented and adhered to, ensuring the highest level of quality control. I'm amazed at how this gelato is as good as the best gelato I had in Italy (and believe me I had allot!) plus they have special tropical flavors like dragonfruit and mangosteen. Such a perfect way to end a hot day of shopping I wish I lived nearby so I could come here all the time.

It is gone now. There was some kind unreasonable demand made by the owner of the complex and the owner of the Gelato basically moved out in one day. It is sad. He made the original gelato in Ubud. I passed it today ... still unoccupied. They had the best!

We discovered this place a couple of years ago and were daily visitors this time...made easy by staying at the Gaya Villas. The gelato would have to be about the best I have tasted. Staff are very friendly. They also sell cookies but not quite in the same league as the gelato!

I don't know why this gelato become hype. I try the 6 scoops pack (500gr) for 75k rupiah, and it's just okay. I can't argue this is cheap but I can't finish off by myself all this 6 scoop, which I usually can eat as much as this.
Only 12 variety at the location, I'd rather go to gusto at...

Best ice cream I have had in a long time, keep up the great standard! Maybe a bit hard to find, it is on the way down from Kedewatan towards Denpasar between Kedewatan and Ubud on your left.

Ubud has many gelato shops serving that wonderful and flavorful ice cream from Italy. However, it is worth the tip to go to Gaya out on Sayan road. There's a great restaurant upstairs with the ice cream downstairs in it's own little shop. Wow, what a difference. The flavors were SO concentrated. Try it.

Think of you have this gelato on a hot afternoon, one cup won't be enough! I have tried chocolate, mix of flavors and mango, but I like mango best.
