Stunning view but......

I have come to Indus often on regular trips to Ubud. The view is unbeatable looking of the valley and never fails to make me feel at peace with the world. Some said it has gone downhill. No. Disagree. Coming in still feels like stepping into a Balinese painting. Great view. An oasis of beauty and peace from ubud's hub and noise. I still enjoyed (after 4 years absence) its ambience. Our food is good. It is not the cheapest but at about £8 a head (no alcoholic drink by choice)... More

I have visited Bali for the past 6 years ,and always Indus its a must . The view is the most interesting jungle valley, over looking that is a razor back ridge covered in tall grass ,you can watch the locals walking along the ridge track, going to or from work. My wife and I received a gift voucher from our daughter to the value of 1,200,000 Ind. Rup. About $120 AUD. To have great night at this restaurant .We booked for dinner at 7.30 and arrived about 7.15 pm. We were greeted comfortably at the entrance and directed to our table. It was a nice setting on the balcony overlooking... More

Had two meals at the Indus while on a recent holiday in Ubud. One was a meal in the evening so we couldn't appreciate the most amazing view of the Champuhan Ridge with the river and beautiful jungle below. We returned for lunch and the view was truly breathtaking. The restaurant is lavishly decorated and the staff attentive and friendly. The... More

Upon entering Indus, I felt like I was stepping into a place of royalty; a palace or something like it. Large and incredibly beautiful and detailed statues greet you, and the high ceilings and lavish decor draw the eyes in and give one a sense of spaciousness and specialness. The uniqueness of Indus is the view from the veranda at... More

ask for a table on the balcony looking over the valley. Gorgeous at sunset get ther before the sun goes down. Even better if you get there during happy hour. Amazing food, drinks and service. Highly recommended

We always have enjoyed dining at Indus each time we visit Ubud but this visit left us with one question. What has happened to the food? Look, we love this place but this time, the menu failed to entice, the flavours were underwhelming and the whole meal felt one dimensional. The atmosphere is still wonderful and the service was attentive... More

Good quality Indonesian food at reasonable prices, like all of Bali it's what you drink that blows the budget. Really beautiful outlook perched high over the river valley. You could have a really good night out here at a lovely restaurant,on a budget if you steer clear of the wine & stick to Bintang.
