We had the smoked duck feast for two, a traditional Balinese meal that must be order a day in advance. Dinner began with two lovely glasses of chilled palm wine and a distant view of the volcano. The duck was the best I have ever eaten, tender, succulent but not at all fatty or gamey. A truly memorable evening. If... More

I worked as a tour guide and sometime i take my customer to have lunch here during our tour. For me, the best time to come to this restaurant is for lunch as you will able to see the incredible view of Bukit Campuhan. I never been here for dinner so i just able to give my review for lunch.... More

We ate here almost 20 years ago (along with sister restaurant, Casa Luna) both of which then were over-the-top. This time we were disappointed with Indus. The view is still spectacular; the service was good; but my wife and I both felt our meals were sub-par. I had a curry prawn dish where the prawns were still in the shell... More

Dear Berkeleyscubapro. Thanks so much for your review. I totally agree with you about the prawn dish - it was a special but I was also not happy with it - so I have taken it off the menu. Not sure what fish dish you ate but will check with the kitchen. But most of our other dishes are great.... More

Staff extremely helpful, skilled and friendly. Atmosphere incomparable. View over the river valley you want again every time you come to Bali. Food not conventionally Balinese, but with a touch of nouvelle cuisine, at very reasonable prices. Janet and her staff know exactly what they are doing... Highly recommended!

My brother's favourite restaurant when in Ubud, and it never disappoints him. I particularly loved the spinach on long stems, steamed with a delicious sauce. The lamb shank was succulent & flavoursome. Good quality Balinese food and the most amazing desserts, try the coconut creme caramel. Atmosphere tranquil, excellent views. Highly recommend it if you're in Ubud.

Dear Jjanet. Wondering why you have two J's! Thanks so much for your lovely review. I have been eating a lot of that spinach lately. It is loaded with iron, calcium and tryptophan which is a natural anti-depressant (not that I am depressed!). It is said to make you sleep but also relieves stress and make you generally jollier. Apart... More

We had dinner here in a Friday, which is seafood night, but if we hadn't asked, the wait staff would've not have given us the seafood menu. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food - the fish was tasty and served with sambals, vegetables and rice. The view over the river valley is beautiful and it was great to be picked up... More

Dear Samruth, Thanks so much for the lovely review. Yes my staff are sometimes a bit shy to spell things out so I am glad you took the initiative and ordered the fish. I am a bit of a fish addict and especially love it with sambal. Hope to see you again. Janet More

Main courses were really special. But the big treat for us as non dessert eaters were the lime tart wow and the coconut creme caramel which was out of this world. With amazing views and a free shuttle up the hill from Casa Luna in the main street, when next in Ubud, make this restaurant a must try.
