We went to the lovely Indus Restaurant for dinner for their one of their Thursday night salsa parties and to listen to the Indonesian Latino band Buena Tierra. The last time that we were in Ubud, we saw one of the lead singers from the "Gypsy Kings" sit in with this band at the Indus. What a major thrill for... More

We know Indus Restaurant since quite a few years and had to go back there to see whether we could repeat the nice experience we were used to. The only thing that hadn't changed was the fantastic view. We were nearly the only guests to have dinner and so the service was o.k. The quality of the food was just... More

If the owner had have read my entire review she would have understood I was not complaining about the rudeness of the guest. I was complaining that there was no area for my terminally ill husband and my daughter to eat in comfort and safety from second hand smoke inhalation. And no where for the frustrated guests to sit without... More

This is a must 'go to' when in Ubud!!! Owned and operated by an Australian women, Indus, reflects the true Balinese culture mixed with modern western cuisine. The food is amazing, well thought and prepared and the atmosphere of the restaurant is a true dining experience, the restruant looks out onto the natural beauty of the Ubud forests. It is... More

We had good food here but the real drawcard is the fabulous view and the ambience of the restaurant. It's a great spot to take photos. The service could be better, they were not very attentive. Definitely a must for lunch when travelling to Ubud.

Perched on the edge of the Tjampuhan Valley the views are wonderful so arrive there before dark. We had a table on the balcony overlooking the river until a storm struck and we had to move inside. The service was excellent. The menu has a range of Balinese, various Asian and European dishes, including a choice of vegetarian meals. The... More

Indus never fails to impress, it is the perfect place to relax and experience awesome food. Lovely to sit for twilight cocktails - the apple and chilli margaritas were zingy and delicious!

Amazing view over the ridge and great for taking photos in the gardens on the different levels. Food is a little pricey and small portions. Worth a visit for the view alone. Service a little off hand.

From the minute we arrived, we felt welcome and that for the next few hours we were somewhere special. The ambience, views, service and, of course, food were all of an extremely high standard. The shared entree plate is a great idea and, over a cocktail, it was the perfect start to the meal. We loved the nasi campur, the... More
