We had a fabulous evening at Cafe Lotus after it was recommended to us by our hotel. The food and Bali rose wine were great. (We especially recommend the vegetarian brushette and the Ayam Sisit.) I am pretty much seconding the reviews on here. I had a bad feeling but due to the location and prices was expecting something a little special. However the performance was to far away to see properly and that is the main selling point. Nice view but may as well go in the day for that. Worst of all really... more

I made a mistake and didn't listen to the reviews on Tripadvisor, before selecting Cafe Lotus for dinner + show. Believe the reviews... the food was very chewy.. and service was almost non-existent. Wanted to go to this restaurant as we had heard about the great backdrop, overlooking the water temple. Indeed it had great views but we had to put up with bad service and poor undercooked food in order to see it. Give this one a miss, you will be disappointed more

Ultimately you get a view of the lovely lotus ponds and the temple which had a show on while we were there. The food we had was at best disappointing, my friends tempura prawns were gluggy and unshelled... inedible! The other 3 meals served were passable but that was all. more
