After an enjoyable birthday dinner in Ubud, my wife and I thought it would be nice to have a drink at the Jazz Cafe and listen to a bit of live music before going back to our hotel. We arrived at 10pm and were instructed to pay Rp 100,000 each for entry. As we only wanted to stop in for... More

Lovely ambience and oh what a powerful voice the lady had- her husband Jacko( i think that was his name) was on the guitar and they were both simply brilliant. They perform every Sunday night. The cafe had beautiful indoor and outdoor seating areas. The dessert and drink was quite good. Definitely hope to go back there on my next... More

Compared to the many other fine eateries in Ubud the Jazz Cafe was a huge disappointment. We waited nearly an hour for our first course to be served and it required reheating. Not a great start to the experience. Also it was very unpleasant being hassled at the door as we were arriving and leaving by scores of beggars.

My proposal plan wouldn't be a success without the shop owner's kind assistance. What I can say is the Jazz Cafe is awesome! Great live band performance and we enjoyed them very much. Food is nice and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely go back to Jazz Cafe if we ever go back to Ubud. Thank you Jazz Cafe... More

Over the past 12 years, I've made a point of consistently dining and dancing at the Jazz Cafe in Ubud. Recently I visit almost every month and take many VIP guests there for a delicious dinner and great music. Since Ubud attracts many celebrities who seek refuge from the paparazzi you never know who will get up and jam with... More

Im a sucker for live music. Wherever it is, I follow. Thats what lead me to Jazz Cafe. I went 2 nights while in Ubud. Salsa night (WOW what amazing dancers and cool musicians), and Saturday night, which was labeled a ska jazz gig, but from 9pm-11pm, I heard a few old school r&b hits (ray charles etc..) put to... Perhaps it was just bad luck, Tuesday night, but this was less jazz than bad 80s covers night - Gary Moore, Beatles, Tracy Chapman murdered. A shame because FANTASTIC staff! Maybe a different nite would be better but we were so disappointed. Food looked great, beautiful setting.

100% a place to go when you are in Ubud, if you like live music and lively crowd. Quite often the music here is better than average. Local musicians can really make you wonder and remind you there are so beautiful thing that know no limits and it is not McDonald but music:) Food and drinks are a bit too... More
