Im a sucker for live music. Wherever it is, I follow. Thats what lead me to Jazz Cafe. I went 2 nights while in Ubud. Salsa night (WOW what amazing dancers and cool musicians), and Saturday night, which was labeled a ska jazz gig, but from 9pm-11pm, I heard a few old school r&b hits (ray charles etc..) put to... Perhaps it was just bad luck, Tuesday night, but this was less jazz than bad 80s covers night - Gary Moore, Beatles, Tracy Chapman murdered. A shame because FANTASTIC staff! Maybe a different nite would be better but we were so disappointed. Food looked great, beautiful setting.

100% a place to go when you are in Ubud, if you like live music and lively crowd. Quite often the music here is better than average. Local musicians can really make you wonder and remind you there are so beautiful thing that know no limits and it is not McDonald but music:) Food and drinks are a bit too... More

Have been there 2 times, because we liked the atmosphere a lot! Music was really nice - a bit loud if you sit inside, but there is also a really cozy outdoor part. A great choice of cocktails - although a bit more expensive than other bars. The atmosphere was worth it though! Very friendly staff.

Fantastic intimate and comfortable venue for great live music. Staff are welcoming and friendly and fun and never pushed us to order more than one drink. These are relatively expensive, at 25,000 for a small Bintang, and 35,000 for a fresh juice or coconut (+ tax and service) but for one drink each and free music it was always a... More

This is a very lovely place, but if you are on a budget it may be an expensive night. The meals are good quality and well presented but a bit pricey for Ubud. It has a large range of spirits and wines but you do pay for that. My husband and myself went for a meal and drinks and there... More

I'd go for the music again but the food which for all of us (7 people) was good but smaller than a meal for a five years old kid. After we were finish and still hungry we asked for more but the answer was: "no sorry: this is the size of our meals" they simply don't care. The food in... More

A stylish setting, catering for all manner of patrons. Do go for the music and the good times. Do not go for the food. The dishes are dressed up to be something they are not and are expensive for what you get. Good wine list but again an expensive commodity. In my view the 2 for 1 cocktails offered in... More

Visited the Jazz Cafe on Tuesday and ate here. Food was average but very expensive. Cocktails were not horrible and expensive. However would highly recommend visiting this cafe purely for the fantastic live music. We were fortunate to see the Magic Mushrooms, the female singer was amazing! She created a great atmosphere and had everyone up dancing. Would not recommend... More
