After trying many restaurants looking for the best chicken, I would say that Ibu Mangku's is certainly among one of the best in Bali. Great tasting chicken(beware, it is spicy) and as an added bonus you can try restaurant with a real Balinese homey atmosphere. Complete with many temples in surrounding area. Just 15 minutes drive from central Ubud. Highly... More

third time we come back to this restaurant, we are always pleased by the quality of this traditional restaurant. Pure Balinese and Pure quality. It's perfect for lunch, very quick, very simple menu, all dishes are delicious, a little spicy but tasty, the fresh fruit juice are wonderful and they really don't cheat with a lot of water or ice.... Went to Bali last December, we tried some Balinese spicy chicken rice, the famous amongst traveller would be this Nasi Ayam Bu Mangku and Nasi Ayam Bu Oki in Jimbaran. I don't particularly like spicy food but this one is not too spicy as Bu Oki has. But My husband who enjoys spicy food said he prefer Bu Mangku better... More

It is difficult to get real Indonesian food in Ubud, with its mass of overpriced restaurants aimed squarely at the bule tourist market. This place, in the village of Kedawaten, outside Ubud is the real deal - excellent Balinese chicken rice at local prices. You get a plate of rice, Balinese 'lawar' (vegetables/salad), a piece or two of sate, sambal and... More

It is affordable, the place is very comfortable and the taste are so yummy! The portion are just nice for me. My hubby ordered extra steam rice though. 2 Nasi Ayam plus 2 drinks and 1 extra steam rice only cost us around IDR 50,000. If you are travelling around Ubud, give it a try!

Intrigued by the good reviews about this place, me and my husband tried out Nasi Ayam Bu Mangku on our second lunch in Ubud. It wasn't exactly a spectacular culinary experience, but I really enjoyed the nasi ayam. It had a very generous portion and tasted great. Moreover, we only spend 50,000 IDR for 2 portions and 2 drinks.

No need further explanation how to describe this nasi ayam. They only serve nasi ayam, there is no other other choice. I love everything on a plate. Spicy chicken with extra sambal, sate lilit, lawar sayur.. I always ask for extra fried chili. iIt only cost less than 20.000 IDR.They also sell snacks in front of cashier. They also have... More

Best place for nasi campur in the Ubud area. Great taste and spicy for a very good price and they have a nice garden to sit and relax while eating this spicy chicken nasi campur. Recomended !
