We came here for lunch after not being able to get in for dinner two nights in a row. A large menu with some unusual pastas on offer, and authentic ingredients. Complimentary fried bread (pizza dough balls) are delicious, just like little doughnuts. Kids meal options are more extensive than other places with approx 8 options. They brought our toddler... This place is interesting for its wide open if slightly dark interior. Service a touch slow (and manic) due to the large number of customers. Huge number of choices on menu and food was good/ok. The gelato from the front was the best part of the meal. If you really need an Italian meal in Sanur, go here.

We ate here last nite. This is a very popular restaurant and can fill up quickly so book ahead. Catered well for children mine are aged 5 & 9, they also loved that two small kittens ran around the place! Friendly staff, great home made pasta and you mustn't miss the ice cream! Overall amazing $50 for a family of... More

We went once so far but we are planning to go again. We were happy with almost everything we ordered - salads were great, all side dishes with egg plant were delicious and bruschetta with tomatoes was fantastic. However, spaghetti with garlic and olive oil was nothing special at all. The bread they serve as appetiser is bad quality -... More

Massimo does great food. We booked a non-smoking table and were a bit disappointed to be in a type of cubical which was somewhat claustrophobic. Next time I would rather sit in the garden but we were not offered this option on booking.

Really surprised at the high reviews of this place, while the baisc italian food is passable, the service, value and overall food standard is not worthy of more than a mediocre rating. Got an overcooked and slightly old tasting fish one night, did not eat touch it and chef claimed it was supposed to be like that, it was not.... More

Dare say I've become a regular at Ristorante Massimo by now for lunches and dinners and cannot but to leave a recommendation to All, right here! As a Chef myself, born and raised in Europe, I rate Massimo's food as definitely Top: classic Italian homecooking, enhanced to restaurant level and I 'Bravo' Chef Massimo for his Pate (served with bruchetta),... This restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine. Many Italian tourists eat here, which is proof of the authenticity of the delicious dishes served. It isn't cheap (compared to other Bali restaurants), but if you like genuine Italian food and want a special night out, this is the place to go. We would recommend this restaurant to all, including the most fussy... More

Went there with family and my lil princess couldn't stop raving on how delicious her pizza and the amazing pasta that she had! Just like we thought ;)
