great cheap food

Really enjoyed our many meals here. Great cheap Indonesian food, ignore the menu outside where it talks about the steak, it's all about the satay and nasi goreng. You may need to turn a blind eye to the cats but the place is busy every lunchtime and tea time.

....for a quick, cheap indonesian meal, means e.g. Nasi Goreng for 14,000 IDR.....a bit loud, because located at a narrow side street, which is the bypass for many Motor bikes.

Massive menu and efficient service, there's something for everyone and one of the cheapest we found in Kuta. It's always busy and we often ate 2 meals a day here. There are heaps of cats around, and being on Poppies, hawkers arent afraid to approach you even while dining in. Meals don't always come out at the same time which... More

I ate Nasi Goreng Babi (fried rice with pork meat) not so bad for dinner... The portion is big so you can share with friends or enjoying for yourself only. You can see the pic review. Actually, i tried bambo because they put tripadvisor ratinga on their menu. I will come again for sure!

Food is very cheep (satay 1.80$ watermelon juice 70c ) resteraunt was too hot table clothes wet and dirty , hawkers trying to sell CDs , waitresses were both cranky and bored looking. Food was crappy satay sticks had a nice flavour but were hard and dry like they had been sitting there for ages garlic chicken was dry and... More

We ate here most meals for a week as after being in Bali for three weeks this was the best value for money and good tasting food. We were in a group but could always find something everyone liked because the menu was big. Wouldn't recommend the milkshakes though, quite watery. The place is popular so service can be slow,... We found real Bali style food here, it is not like other restaurants for tourism. The price was so cheap however food was so good! They use simple ingredients which we can tell and made a combination of flavors! We visited here twice and we wished we have time to visit again. Compare to other high-priced food, this place is... Cheap, Cheap Cheap. You get what you pay for. Watermelon juice was very good but chicken satay was dried up and rice inedible being hard & crunchy. Dine with the cats & dogs. A back packers place at best.
