Title says it all. The setting is really beautiful, and the menu choices are excellent if you want seafood or traditional Indonesian food.

I'm not knocking the food because it was good. But, the bathrooms are what really stood out to me. Poppies 1 is a nice place to go eat and clean up afterwards.

We dine here every time we are in Bali. Always great food and great atmosphere. Great service too! Will definitely be back again!

Dined at poppies today with friends who have been lunching there for years. The restaurant, staff, setting and facilities - real napkins on the table and hand towels in the bathroom were very good . However within 3 hours of eating gado gado I was violently ill with severe vomiting, sweating, chills and lethargy. Such a shame as it is... More

We are very sorry indeed that your enjoyable visit to Poppies was spoiled. We can only point out that we do not cut corners with our kitchen or restaurant hygiene, as to do so would be suicide. We feel bound to point out also that despite what appears to be an obvious connection between our food and your later discomfort,... More

This was the only restaurant on Bali that asked if we had a reservation before seating us. It was very popular, and full (but not too crowed, because of the layout). The meals were very good, service a bit spotty for Bali. My only recommendation is find this place (buried in a smaller side street with lots of mopeds taking... More

We stopped in for lunch at Poppies yesterday. It is almost 30 years since my first visit and nothing has changed here. The food is still very good, and the fruit juices divine. We had Gado Gado and it was very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. I don't think the menu has changed since my first visit which is... More

This restaurant is located at the heart of Kuta but as soon as you enter, you reach a peaceful garden secluded from the noisy street. It gives you a very nice feel. The food is very good especially the fish: I had the sashimi and mahi-mahi which was great as well as the "Catch of the day" a friend of... More

Went here on our second visit to Bali for an early dinner. Cocktails in carved wood were good value :) Satay sticks were yummy. Seafood was ordinary. I would imagine as the night went on and it became packed the atmosphere would have been good.

Over 2 years since we were last here. The place is exactly the same. A good thing. Over ordered food just for a change and as always it was lovely. Particularly my sons sate which we all helped him finish. Well worth a visit any time you're in the area.

Loved the atmosphere at this restaurant with the garden setting, nice quiet and romantic vibe. Service was great. The tortilla chips that came with our guacamole were stale which was disappointing. Otherwise the food was great. Recommend the chicken provençale, very tasty! Partner got beef curry, meat was a bit tough. Worth a visit.
