Absolutely magical place, such a hidden gem behind their beautiful Balinese doors. Went here for dinner one night and was so impressed we came back three more nights in a row. The food is absolutely delicious and worth every cent. You can tell the staff love their job they are always so eager to... read more

We found this restaurant by accident, off the beaten track down a lane and though a small door into a enchanted Balinese garden, softly lit with lanterns and candles, it was a truly magical sight. Every thing we ordered to eat was totally the best food ever. The highlight was the funny face cocktail, which it seems every table had... More

Beautiful garden setting on Poppies Lane 1. Food was of a very high standard. Highly recommended. Just down from my hotel. I sat at the bar but very spacious garden that can cater for large groups, and families.

We found the restaurant after a walk in the narrow gang Poppies. It is very intimate and cosy inside, Surrounded by a wall and a green ceiling of wines. Service was good and attentive, and as usual on Bali always friendly. We tried a more western approch part of the menu, because we had a lot of indonesian food, and... More

Excellent place to escape the rest of kuta. Excellent food and service at a good price. The only downside are the mosquito bites. I will wear repellent next time

We have been to this restaurant several times now and it does not disappoint. Good food well priced and an awesome setting. It's great to see that they are keeping their Old style Bali garden when so many are moving away to modern western styles?? Why I don't know. So if you're after Bali beauty and great food , especially... More

We spent a very nice evening in the lush garden of Poppies restaurant; the garden is beautiful, the staff very friendly, but the food was very disappointing. It was served in an attractive way, but the taste was bland. Not a very special selection of Indonesian food. Nothing to write home about.

We went here on Christmas day and had rijstaffel which we thoroughly enjoyed. I was told earlier in the evening that we would need to book if we wanted to eat here, but they were not nearly that busy and we got a table straight away. We were also served quite quickly despite this dish normally taking sometime to prepare.... More

Have visited this restaurant on every trip for Rijsttafels. The food was pre cooked and stale, the flavours poor. Ren dang was tough, curry watery and seafood not fresh. Very disappointing visit and no more. Give this place wide birth only living on name which now is going down hill.

Thank you for your review, but one thing we can assure you - and all our other faithful repeat clientele - is that we NEVER rest on our laurels, and are fully aware that to do so now, with all the competition that surrounds us, is to invite a quick death (after 43 years in business). Clearly something went wrong... More

Last nights dinner was disappointing as in the past it has been great. Food was very average and drinks could of been colder. Was so looking forward to eating here as the atmosphere is just so beautiful.
