I love Cafe Havana... I have eaten here a few times. It has such an awesome vibe to it, especially at night time when they have free salsa lessons. The food is really delicious. They often have great live bands playing too- playing salsa music of course. The cocktails are excellent and very addictive. It's a really fun atmosphere and... More

Dined here for lunch and to be honest, didn't expect many vegetarian options given the Cuban theme. I was wrong, there are quite a lot of vegetarian options as well as food you could easily make vegetarian. My picks - the vegetarian taco bowl with rice and black bean croquetas, and the spinach empanadas. Great drinks menu too - if... More

We stopped in here during a very quiet lunch period (only diners there). The restaurant is really well-decked out in the Cuban theme. It's very vibrant, plenty of photos and other memorabilia around, and they've thought of everything, right down to the cigar box that you get the bill in! Very cool ;) I ordered a Cuban sandwich plus some... More

Went to Cafe Havana for my wife's birthday while in Ubud. Had delicious seafood paella, spare ribs. Booths dishes were fresh and tasty. Got a table out front to watch the passing crowd yet right near the live band playing salsa music inside. Got stuck into some cocktails (Margheritas and Mohitas) which were well mixed with PLENTY of alcohol (unlike... More

Yes, Cafe Havana really does have a Cuban vibe going... from the genuine '63 Chevy parked out front to the live Salsa music every night (bar Monday when the band takes a rest) Actually the staff are happy to teach you to dance Salsa basics anytime, or partner you anytime... So pleased you enjoyed your experience and thanks for the... More

I and my wife are salsa dancers so when we saw Cafe Havana in Ubud decided to spend our NY Eve there. Entrance fee was 100K IDR for that evening but it totally worth the amount spent considering the atmosphere and fun. We ordered just non-alcoholic drinks and chips, so can't comment on quality of food The band was surprisingly... More

Thank you for your great review. We have the custom of charging an entrance fee ONLY on New Years Eve and all the money is divided among the staff as recognition for their hard work all year entertaining our guests. We hope next visit you'll try our food, especially if you have a sweet tooth. As we were walking past, we noticed the Chevy Impala outside and saw a funky and fun looking bar. We decided to grab a drink before dinner, but saw that there was an excellent menu, so after a couple more drinks thought we would order meals as it was a bit of a change to the Indonesian cuisine we have... The Chevy is original 1963...and still goes. Wow! That is a great recommendation... better than in Cuba itself... we've had some Cubans say that they feel right at home in Cafe Havana's ambiance and decor. Your review has made my day and I'll pass it onto the staff too. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g297695-d1840266-r337200233-Cafe_Havana-Gianyar_Bali.html# More

A nice cafe in a busy part of Ubud, appetisers and cocktails are really good. They know what they are doing. Live band at night who can play whatever you ask for at the speed you need. I adored Cuba- the dancing, the music, the people, the party atmosphere. I created Cafe Havana in Bali so more people could enjoy what I had experienced. I'm glad you enjoyed the party atmosphere as well as the food and drinks. The enthusiasm of La Bomba Band and the Salsa dancing staff add to the atmosphere. The staff and I thank you... More
