Good menu, small portions...

The Spanish/Cuban music, the rustic furniture - all good. The food, lots of taste, but I would of liked a little more... Possibly coz it did taste good :) Tends to be popular, so if you want a seat on the veranda, get here early.

I love this places! During my time traveling in South America, I fell in love with the continent! Havana brings back good memories. The food is good, and the live music is amazing... I only missed late night parties to dance the night away!

I also fell in love with the Latin verve for life and created Cafe Havana to bring back my good memories, especially of the music and dancing. Our concession to Bali is to not keep our neighbours awake too late. lol. Glad you enjoyed the food. Thank you so much for such a nice review. More

This is our third visit to Cafe Havana and probably our last. It seems to have lost it's vibrant ambience and the staff appeared disinterested if I'm to be completely honest. Our waitress couldn't get the ordering app to work on the phone and resorted to handwriting our order on a serviette. That said, the order was correctly taken and... More

I saw a rat run across the side of the floor. It as a medium sized one. I didn't eat anything but already had a drink. The drink was good. The band is good. But I could not dance to a lot of their music. I didn't recognize the songs well. The service is good.

Thank you for letting me know we need to up our pest control regimen. We do have a man come weekly to check for signs. It is a constant problem in Bali because they are mainly attracted to the rice fields. Our band La Bomba plays mainly Cuban salsa classics - shame you didn't dance much.. the staff would have... The food was delightfully tasty, but most of all the service I received was wonderful. Highly recommended. Very chilled out in the daytime.

Thank you for the great review of both our food and service. Cafe Havana is so well known as an evening venue, so it's great that you enjoyed chilling out and people watching at lunchtime too. Thanks again. More

Get there early for a good seat! We sat outside for dinner & many drinks. On a busy street. Easy to find. They park their classic antique car outside. They have great music & have a band too. Everything on the menu was great. You will not be disappointed! Staff is super nice & attentive.

We hope your visit to Cafe Havana is the start of a very Happy New Year for you. Portion sizes are always tricky. We try to make it so that if a person is dining by themselves, they can still have a nice selection of 3 or 4, and maybe even a main course later... Maybe you were being too... More

We came into cafe Havana fora quick bite to eat and were not disappointed. We ordered some tapas which came quickly, and I particularly liked the Brie and the homemade tortilla chips with dip, as well as the meat balls. The cocktails are also great and I imagine the place is great at night, but we were definitely satisfied by... More

Hi there Nadine, Oh I wish you had seen Cafe Havana at night also!!!. The band is so good, and so many people dancing Salsa, it really adds to the ambiance for dining. . You had my own personal favorite- cheese fritters with our own homemade Guava Chutney. I hope we have the pleasure of your company again some day-... More

Drawn by the music in the street and THAT fancy car , stopped for cocktails stayed for tapas , loved what has been created here in Ubud , it's own little bit of Cuba for those of us who might never get the chance to go . Fantastic to watch the couples salsa dancing , one single guy sat having... More

Bali is all about the unexpected. And after Obama's amazing speech this week, you may get a chance to go to Cuba! We hope you'll agree that Cafe Havana Ubud is almost like the real thing... - but some of our food is better!. So pleased you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for the review. More

Wow, you got the whole experience, - the refined pre-revolutionary glamor ot upstairs and then fantastic La Bomba Band and dancing staff downstairs. . Yes, we even got you up dancing.. As you rightly guessed, we are in a residential part of town and finish the music at 10.30 pm to respect our neighbours! I hope we see you again... More

This is a typical Ubud restaurant which offers mediocre food and western music. I guess cultural purity is a thing of the past. Globalization has happened in all the fusion restaurants we find everywhere nowadays. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. So go to Cafe Havana for a great evening of Latin music, tacos and margaritas. No raves here, but... More

Gee... you are a tough guy to impress.. I would have thought having a restaurant where every member of staff can Salsa dance and most can give guests a great impromptu free Salsa dancing lesson, is pretty extra-ordinary. Yes,, Cuban music may have become somewhat mainstream, but at Cafe Havana we also try and showcase the many African and Latino... More
