A stop for lunch and A good cheap meal near the Central Ghats - Dosa is good. Has fans and supported by the locals which is a good sign.

Nicely located restaurant in a small side-street at Main Ghat provides rest and tasty and high-quality Indian and Israeli food. I eat its Laffa for the last 5 years, every time I come to Varanasi, and it's still so yummy! And not spicy - really not spicy, not Indian "not spicy" style. Try their ravioli with spinach. I would recommend... More

Good value for money in Varanasi. Both times we ate there the food and drink was delicious, plentiful and fresh. We told them to make it spicy and it was. Good service.

Shree was a total disappointment. It looks nice enough from outside, clean and lots of nice photography on the walls. The menu boasts many kinds of curries, many that don't sound so typical, which made me excited to try the tomato pumpkin curry. My boyfriend ordered an aloo matar - potato pea curry. When the curries came out, you could... More

Looked good from outside. Nice and clean. Menu choice good. Boyfriend and I ordered a different curry each. Tasted good and happy with cost. Started getting stomach cramps and diarrhoea almost immediately after leaving. This continued throughout the night interspersed with bouts of vomiting. Same for boyfriend. Didn't eat or drink anything for hours beforehand...must have been the food.

Shree is a great place for main meals. While they hit the nail on the head with the western food, their Indian food is some of the best we have had in India. The family that run the café are very friendly and make the service 10/10. The Lemon Nanna drink is delicious and made with fresh mint. The paneer... More

Although the food is cheap and the restaurant is clean the food is not very good- by Indian standards. Maybe it's trying to be 'tourist friendly' which is understandable. The food was bland and had zero spice. The pickle was tasty though!! Everything else was lovely but the food was too bland for us.
