Salad and rose lassi

It was awesome to eat fresh salads safely in India. The highlight was the rose flavoured lassi. The shop downstairs sells a nice selection and is worth a visit.

What a treat after travelling India for a while - safe fresh salads and yummy different food and drinks. Heartfelt and community minded, there is also a shop downstairs offering stock with a difference. Intimate space makes for easy connection with other travellers. A must when in Assi Ghat.

Amazing food, amazing drinks, fast service, friendly staff! Lady who runs it is lovely, chatted with us and was very professional when she pierced my friends nose. We went everyday, and the shop is brilliant too. Definitely best restaurant I've found in India so far.

This is a beautiful cafe! It's so welcoming and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design of the venue and the menu. The shop on the ground floor is very pretty too, I got some lovely bronze and camel bone bangles from there. The shop itself it actually what enticed me in initially. It's a... More

Yummy yummy food, with delicious herbal teas, and cold chais and coffees if you need to cool down. They also have a brilliant little shop downstairs. It's a well thought out restaurant, with a nice concept.

We totally enjoyed the upper room food and rest in the great eclectic surroundings. Assured care is taken for you in food service and tasty delivery of thoughtful western suited dishes! We all adored our food and yum, yum, yum, ate it all up! Mata-ji is a lovely person and exceedingly kind and caring, having made Varanasi her home and... More

Like the reviews say, this place is really nice. I especially appreciated that when I asked the owner about other good restaurants in the area, she was very candid and gave us some good recommendations, including a place to get some really good coffee, despite the fact that these were all competitors for her business. My only concern was that... More

This restaurant has a nice selection of western food, if that is what you are in the market for, but it also has traditional Indian dishes. The service was very prompt and attentive even though our group was quite large, about 10 people. They made it a point to make sure everyone was happy. The food was very fresh and... More

This place was lovely. The food was to die for! I had iced green tea with lemon pancakes and fruit. The fruit even came with this lemon creme stuff for dipping which put all fruit salads to shame. The shop downstairs has great stuff at very reasonable prices. Service was excellent and the environment was very relaxing.
