Great Service but food is nothing to rave about

The service was good and the food came out very quickly. While the food is healthy, it's all quite bland, and definitely nothing to write home about. This place has great potential but they need to get a bit more creative with their dishes.

The place was nice, clean, and service was good. The food I have to say wasn't amazing, but still decent. I was just a little bit disappointed because I was expecting the same quality as the Brown Bread Bakery, which by the way, was excellent. Still a good experience overall.

Love this little hippie rooftop restaurant in Varanasi, where everyone shares their table so everyone can enjoy the amazing food. We really liked the lassis, as well as the lemon pancakes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Given the name, the hippie vibe is not surprising. Really not worth a detour, unless a hippie ambience is what you are looking for in Varanasi. They do put a lot of accent on the cleanliness of their food on their menu. Food was alright. Nothing special. A bit bland perhaps. Nothing like the Brown Bread Bakery, or the Dosa... More

Very nice small restaurant near Assi Ghat in Varanasi. American owner. Good food and obsessive attention to sanitation. Friendly owner and manager. Vegetarian. We ate there often.

I've been living in Varanasi for several months and this place is one of my staples. It's a godsend. Its clean and safe! You can actually have iced drinks! The fresh fruit and veggies are all washed and safe, so go ahead and enjoy a salad. Your body is likely craving it. Hygiene aside, the food is wonderful and healthy,... More

This is one of my favorite little hide away spots in the city. I have come to Aum Cafe every week since living in Varanasi and the food is always fantastic. There are a variety of choices including breakfast foods (great for Vegans as they have an "eggless omelette" and good pancakes), coffee and teas, lunch items such as pizza,... More

One morning we strolled into this small place to meet friends. It was still cold and foggy, but the nice food and good coffee as well as the warm and funny remarks of staff and owner were heart-warming and made our day.

Really delicious fresh food and wonderful range of organic teas and drinks in a nice atmosphere. Great menu, and all food and drink we had here was lovely. The salads and fresh fruit are particularly good and are washed in filtered water. The owners are really friendly, helpful interesting people. I also loved the shop downstairs with local handmade beautiful... More

Tiny cafe up 2 flights of stairs (wash hands on ground floor before you go up!). Does breakfasts, snacks, pasta and cakes - we had the houmous for lunch and immediately decided to return for an idli breakfast the next day. There's a clothes shop on the ground floor which is also worth a visit as the goods are a... More
