So glad we followed advice to check out this family-run Nepalese restaurant. An outstanding meal from a menu full of choices - Indian, Nepalese, European and more. The kind owners welcomed us warmly to their rooftop restaurant and all stopped to chat to us in between work. They have packed meals to take on long train rides too!. This was... More

We went there with a tour group and everybody loved it. They have lots of choices of cuisine, so after several weeks in India we enjoyed the change. Top thing to try is one of their delicious buffalo steaks. They have a strong flavour and are quite salty but mouth-wateringly delicious! I couldn't recommend it more highly. The family is... More

Cute little rooftop restaurant that makes you feel like you're in Kathmandu. This family-owned restaurant is one of my favourite places in the city to go out to eat. Last time I had the beet soup, which was delicious and also seemed pretty healthy. We always get the nachos, which are a nice change. We'll keep coming back again and... More

As our a Indian tour guide would say this place was 'Deeeeeelishous'! It's off the beaten map a little but we were all so happy to be brought here. The menu is a little varied but that is great for any one struggling with the Indian diet on their travels. It's also got a great selection for vegetarian or meat... More

This place was so good we came here twice and got takeaway for the night train! A true family enterprise with delicious food (especially the tibetan bead with banana and honey) and friendly, welcoming people. I think the prices are worth it for the experience and change to regular Indian cuisine. A lovely odd mishmash of cultures, very refreshing.

Lovely little place which as others have said is a godsend if you're looking for a change from Indian food. The menu is good if a little random, the family who run the restaurant are very welcoming and friendly. It's prettily lit rooftop dining area helps you escape the noise of the city.

I liked the idea of this - a family run restaurant, and was greeted warmly upon our arrival. The family was pleasant and polite, however service was minimal as we had to write down our orders, and add any extra items at the end. The food came in small portions and was considerably over priced- to the extent we decided... More

During our 6 week backpacking trip to india, our meal at el parador was the highlight of our trip. The food was delicious. It was nice to take a break from the standard indian cuisine. El Parador's international menu has something to please everyone. You can see right into the kitchen and watch the family come together to cook your... More

Firstly, this is in one corner of the town - unless someone takes you there, next to impossible to reach it. Rs. 700 for 2 plates of chicken momo is a king's ransom! I have never heard of anything more absurd. The momos were pretty average too - you'll get better momos anywhere at 25% of the price. The soup... More

First of all reaching there was a bit of a problem. On first day I could not find it but later I found it with the help of the owner, he is really very cooperative person and talks pleasantly. Since drizzling was going on hence I preferred seating inside, also there were no other guests in the restaurant apart from... More
