Visited here on the advice of our guide, who also ate with us. The only downside was we had to climb many, many flights of stairs to reach the restaurant. We found the menu had a wide variety of dishes and the food was very nice and tasty. We ate indoors as it was cooler, the view from the terrace... More

The restaurant offers good food and chai, and has an incredible view as it is on the roof top of the Rashmi Guest House. Situated on one of the ghats near the main ghat.

We seemed to find on our travels, you are best trying more local places to eat than tourist ones, this was ok, food was nice enough, our waiter was slightly strange, asked if we wanted drinks, so we asked for two beers to share between four of us, and we got a lecture about how we shouldn't drink, so we... This was a nice escape from the madness of Varanasi. Fantastic views of the Ganges and also the Old Observatory. Food was good but didn’t know you could not get a cold beer at lunch time as they only serve drinks afternoon/night.

Nice place to sit outdoors and enjoy the view. Friendly, quick service. Good place to get photos of the river.

We ate here after a 20 hour train journey so we were pretty hungry and i thought I would eat anything - not quite! The vegetable pakoras were dry and tasteless - and served with ketchup (which admittedly did make them more edible). Our starter plates were not cleared, and were left for us to eat our mains from. The... More

A lot of back packers seemed to know about this place and mixed in with the locals it was really good. A very extensive menu to cater for all tastes and great views over the Ganges and the Ghats. Liked it a lot.

Amazing spot looking over the Ganges, staff were friendly enough but the malai kofta (normally one of my favourites) was decidedly average and later that day I became very sick (diagnosed as food poisoning). Not pleasant.

This place does not deserve the honour of being recommended by lonely planet. The waiters are slow and moody, had to ask for water 6 times before it came. Tables are littered with finished plates waiting to be cleared. Food is distinctively mediocre and overpriced.
