Nice place to sit outdoors and enjoy the view. Friendly, quick service. Good place to get photos of the river.
We ate here after a 20 hour train journey so we were pretty hungry and i thought I would eat anything - not quite! The vegetable pakoras were dry and tasteless - and served with ketchup (which admittedly did make them more edible). Our starter plates were not cleared, and were left for us to eat our mains from. A lot of back packers seemed to know about this place and mixed in with the locals it was really good. A very extensive menu to cater for all tastes and great views over the Ganges and the Ghats. Liked it a lot.
good food with excellent service. nice place to hangout with friends and family. recommended to visit in small group of not more than 4.
Amazing spot looking over the Ganges, staff were friendly enough but the malai kofta (normally one of my favourites) was decidedly average and later that day I became very sick (diagnosed as food poisoning). Not pleasant.
This place does not deserve the honour of being recommended by lonely planet. The waiters are slow and moody, had to ask for water 6 times before it came. Tables are littered with finished plates waiting to be cleared. Food is distinctively mediocre and overpriced.

I'm reading the very mixed reviews only now, but I must say: We were happy enough with the dinner that we came back from some breakfast and lunch the next day before leaving Varanasi. Granted, I've had better Indian food in the UK, but our main... More
The sort of tourist trap you are in a hurry to forget. The great view over the Ganges does not make up for the indifferent service and average food. We saw this place in the lonely planet and decided to treat ourselves to a meal here... Regrettable decision unfortunately. We walked up the stairs from the ghatts and on first impression thought wow we're in for a treat here, then climbed up to the restaurant and saw that it was busy, a good sign... Took 15 mins to be... Delicious food & one of the most fabulous, lofty views from the out-door terrace! Alas, it was a bit grey & chilly when we were there; I can only imagine who it might be on a warm, sunny day! We;; worth the climb!
