Truly delicious Awadhi cuisine

I make it a point to pay my respects to this small fast food style almost al fresco outlet. It doles out rich Awadhi cuisine the true way. However, if you order a wide array you might find it all tasting alike because the basic concoctions are common. The hygiene and cleanliness needs to be put on... read more

This is one of the most famous restaurant in Lucknow and have 3-4 branches, the oldest being at Hazratganj. Its a walking distance from hazratganj market and is located just next to UP Press club and Hotel Gemini. The popularity of the hotel can be seen once you go there during the lunch/dinner time and one will have to wait... More

Well the food is better than even tunday kababi and that's saying a lot about the place. I think both places are must visit when in lucknow. Galouti and Nihari are delightfully mouthwatering. Would go their every time I am in lucknow.

Taste , Taste and Taste ! Thee place is for the food lovers who die for taste and quality food and not for the restaurant ambiance , service etc. I don't want to comment on the ambiance or the place (which tells the story) and the review is more for the food. Galwat kebabs were out of the world. I... More

I visited two great restuarants in 2 days. Tunday Kababi on day 1 and Dastarkhwan on day 2. Former is more of a street food junction while Dastarkhwan is fine dining. And I must say that though Tunday had set the bar really high for me, Dastarkhwan did manage to compete well on day 2. The mughlai parantha melts the... More

Good stuff if you have a strong stomach but at times I feel hygiene is a bit iffy. Tasty Kebabs and Biryanis and not too oily too.

Well my first visit to the famous Dastarkhwan last week was disappointing. Its simply an over-rated joint and I regretted not heading to Tundey Kababi instead (which was basically because we were confused about the real one). Onto the food, the kebabs were ordinary, the gravy items too oily. Galauti - 3/5 (nothing special) Shammi - 2/5 (half burnt) Ulte... More
