All food was clearly served from a box and is the standard "hotel frozen food" quality you would expect from a Marriot or other hotel chain. Only it got me sick. I was sick for weeks after eating here and it was only cured by a trip to the doctor for antibiotics. The service was slow, and food very poor.... More

Whilst staying at the hotel with my husband for 3 days we had dinner here both nights, and what a treat it was. A creative menu selection is on offer and the staff were most accommodating for increasing the strength of some curries. The most delicious naan bread I have ever eaten. A wonderful selection of dishes to choose from.... More

I wrote about this separately in my hotel review. But this was, in the two weeks I spent in India, the best meal I had. The chef took us on a kitchen tour and the food was to die for.

Attention was very slow and the food was nothing special. Considering the quality of the hotel and the general ambience the restaurant was a let down.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Agra and stayed at The Oberoi Amarvilas. We received the highest level of service at the hotel. Oberoi's staff are very polished and were consistently looking for opportunities to make personalize our stay. We felt like we were the only guests at the hotel. The Oberoi Amarvilas rooms and balconies have unobstructed... More

Even if you are staying elsewhere splurge there for lunch or dinner. You'll see why it was rated the best hotel in the world. Don't miss the chicken tikka, The chicken melts in your mouth.

Had lunch here after seeing Taj Mahal. The hotel itself is all massive marble, and feels quite "cold" empty and unfeeling. Not the warm welcoming sensation I am looking for when I visit what is supposed to be a top hotel. Service is good but certainly not the best. The food took a long time to come (40+ minutes). We... Excellent quality Indian food, with impeccable service. I would definitely eat in this restaurant in preference to the hotel's other restaurant.

We had a delightful, if a bit short time-wise (our fault) lunch here after visiting the Taj Mahal. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and helpful. I asked for the masala chai recipe one of the servers gave me a box of the spices they use to make this tea. Very thoughtful!

Normally, I'm not much of a buffet man, I much prefer to order from the menu and have it brought to me while I enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. As part of a business trip, I wasn't given his opportunity on this occasion, but I was fondly surprised! The buffet was fresh, hot and delicious! He dishes were not... More
