On the roof up several flights of stairs the Shanti offers great views of the Taj- handy if you've arrived on a Friday when it's closed, or want a final gaze before departure. The food is pretty dismal, you're probably safest at breakfast time with an omlette and toast.

The view is magical from the rooftop over the buildings you can see the taj perfectly - a great place to head for a beer to watch the sun set and taj glow pink. The food was pretty average and the toilet up there as one of the worst in India - and that is saying something

The title says it all - good for a beer while you watch the sunset over the Taj Mahal. The toilet was pretty dreadful, and reading the rest of these reviews I'm glad I didn't eat there.

I stayed in Agra for 4 full days and stopped by the Shanti for lunch for maybe 3 of those days. I thought the food at the Shanti was pretty good. I liked everything that I ordered. Staff can be slow to get to you if you stop by dinner where it tends to get more crowded.

you get sick if you eat it's food not cheap also they only have a bane in the book lonely planet for me it doesnt matters at all i dont recommend

Loved the view from the reataurant on the roof top. Enjoyed the drinks, could o with cleaning the 'thermos' tea pots though.

Go there for the view. Food is avarage tourist food but ok. Just enpough for a quick dinner nothing more

I passed the kitchen to get to the tables and view of the Taj Mahal. I could only stomach a soft drink and I did not use their straws. I wiped the bottle top before I drank it. The state of the kitchen would ensure that I would never eat anything there. Needs a major clean up!
