Fantastic cheap vegetarian food. My mum and I ate here a couple of times and the food was tasty, the guy that served us was really nice. It doesn't look like much, but give it a chance - compared to the other places (which tended to be slightly over-priced for what you get) it was really good value.
Friendly service and they will recommend what to order. We came here twice and both times had good service and good food. very good value. It is basic but genuine Indian food.Sink with soap to wash hands.
I read good reviews about this restaurant on trip advisor and decided to try this. Total disappointment. Don't know how fellow tripadvisors reviewed this restaurant as good. Food was not at all as I read the reviews. Would recommend a total no. It's ranked 2 out of the 11 restaurant in ooty, I don't know how.
We came to Jain restaurant for dinner following advice from trip advisor, as we were brand new to Ooty and didn't have any advice with regards to where to eat. We got an auto here, and when we arrived we thought the auto driver had brought us to the wrong place - it is a small restaurant at the bottom...

Opposite Nahar Sidewalk Cafe this hotel Pankaj Bhojanalaya located on first floor is awesome for some authentic jain food and tandoori. chaach and Gulab jamun is must try here.
We had breakfast there and since it was quite empty we were quite hesitant. The food and service, however, was way better than we expected. We would come again.
We went there last year as well as this year. Food is better than other restaurants in OOTY. We tried paneer (cottage cheese) dish as well as parathas (Indian stuffed bread). Food was fine, since we have had bad experience at other places in ooty. Management isn't very nice, they initially refused to boil the milk for our infant child....

This pure veg place has a surprisingly great continental fare. Only suggestion is to visit before 3 else the service is as good as not there.
Located in the basement of a Jain hotel, this restaurant is cheap, good menu and tasty Indian food without being too hot. Service is simple and so is the place but it is clean enough.
