A very well maintained, very good service, good food and majestic view of lake. One should watch sunset from this quiet and warm place.
The views are to die for... made better by fireworks at one of the properties across the Pichola... the food, well... not bad to be honest, but nothing extraordinary... the cocktails, had a similar story about them... the staff were friendly and courteous... except that they shouted across to each other, which seemed a little odd!

Fantastic views across the lake, spectacular at sunset. You can eat inside or on the roof terrace. Attentive service & good choice of menu

I visited Jagat Niwas with my family to take dinner the food served was horrible since it was cold and salad served was stale and badly smelling. I complained about the same but the hotel staff was not at all humble to listen to complain. Please think 100 times before visiting this hotel. Hotel staff is not good at all.
Great views of the lake palace, and parakeets in the trees. Beautiful old palace accommodation, with service by fabulously dressed staff which makes you feel like a Raj!
My husband likes hot food and I prefer much milder vegetarian food. We both loved the food we were served.
If you're looking for a nice view of the Lake Palace and don't mind overpriced small servings of mediocre food combined with slow and rather grumpy service and a kind of cruise ship atmosphere - not a compliment in my book - then do go there. I won't!
