It was our first marriage anniversary. We were told that the restaurant is very good and it was really (the word I would use is ) "Bhavya". The service was not less than any five star hotel, they will treat you very well. We ordered drinks including single malt and normal non-veg food, food was OK, not grate; this is... More

The place offers a very decent ambience over-looking lake Pichola, Taj Lake View, etc. However, the staff, the services, the attitude is too cold and at times hostile. This was our second experience of the same nature. The food quality was reasonable.

Got the seating at a special isolated "Jharoka". Superb ambience and the night view of the lake pichola as well as the taj lake palace. A very good experience although gets really chilly. The food and the service was good and quick.

Extremely good Indian food at the best location - on the banks of the lake. We had a late lunch there and combined it with the best possible sun downer. You have to see the sunset from the terrace of Jagat Niwas.

It's worth a meal to soak this venue in, we were lucky enough to get one of the worlds best views. The Virgin Mary was refreshing.fish tandoor was good , the mixed veggie semi dry curry was very good .the little veggie cake ( can not recall their names) are bland and not recommended. Service was very good

We came to this restaurant for our Diwali dinner. It's in a lovely tourist area full with cute little shops and nice staff. The location is lovely as it overlooks the lake. As we were there for diwali it was beautiful as there was constant fireworks in the evening sky. The prices were great for drinks and food but compared... More

After our harrowing drive to ambrai restaurant the previous night we decided to take a boat ride to Jagat Niwas. We were staying at Trident and the hotel arranged it for us. 5 mins boat ride as opposed to 45 mins road drive. Once we reached the restaurant we sat in 1 of the jharoka seats. it felt as if... Nice restaurant - liked the seating and ambience - sitting above the water in Lake Pichola... Does not have much by way of local fare, and no boneless meats - but if you're there, try the Lal Maans (a local mutton dish).

We ditched the restaurant at our guesthouse to have dinner at the restaurant at the Jagat Niwas Hotel. It turned out to be a great choice. After climbing the steps to the rooftop restaurant, we were quite hungry and were seated promptly at a table with a beautiful view of Lake Pichola. The dining room was very elegant and romantic....
