Great views, good drinks, good food. Service was a little slow but the servers were quite good and fun.

One of the really great restaurants of Udaipur, replete with a good selection - Indian, Chinese, Continental, great chefs, good portions, decent service - and a fabulous view of the Pichola Lake! Plus there's some great window seating in the form of cozy cabanas. The service is a bit slow, but in a relaxed place like Udaipur, where food is meant... More

The most attractive feature of this restaurant is its sitting area. It has several cosy cabanas, right over the top of the lake, offering a mesmerizing view. The restaurant also has a roof top sitting area which is an amazing place for a candle light dinner. The down side is the food. The food is nothing extra-ordinary and sometimes very... More

We spent two days in Udaipur - and had dinner at Jagat Niwas twice, as the first evening there had been such a wonderful experience! The view from the rooftop terrace is just incredible - you feel as if you were floating on the lake, contemplating a scenery reminding you of an Arabian Nights painting (have one of there nice... The view is great, but the food is expensive and the service is not that great, the staff could definitely be more helpful and polite. The food is not worth the money, especially not the breakfast.

This was my first choice for stay but sadly did not get a reservation so only visited the rooftop restaurant for dinner. The whole hotel was so beautifully lit at night, I did not want to leave at all. The view from the roof top restaurant is magical - the best that I came across in all restaurants I visited... More

My girlfriend and myself chose this restaurant because it was recommended in our Lonely Planet 2014 guide as well as in the Routard; we thought we could not be wrong. The Place itself and the view you can enjoy from the restaurant are really beautiful but we were more than disappointed by the service, the drinks, the food and the... More

Set in a lovely haveli, the rotis, main courses were all great. The view of the lake is wonderful. Only drawback is that there is no elevator. On a non-windy day, you can choose to sit at a table on the roof.

Thinking we were in for a special treat because of the view and restaurant surroundings we found that the food was mediochre to terrible. The so called 'mutton curry' was inedible, it turned out to be poorly cooked goat. The staff were indifferent, I wondered if it was because we were not staying there. The meals were overpriced.

The most fabulous view of the lake and palace, lit up after sunset. We went in low season and it was quiet with all the best view front tables available. The food was exquisite, one of the best meals we had in India. The service was excellent and discrete. The bill for two gin and tonics, two waters, a beer... More
