A lovely anniversary dinner

We were looking for a low key yet nice place for our anniversary dinner. This place served as the perfect spot. I took my wife here for a romantic date and it was fantastic! The view of Lake Pichola is one of the best you will get! Make sure you get a table at the corner overlooking the Lake and that you go in early so that you get to see the sunset. The food itself is nice and not too... More

Nice view but not so great staff and expensive food. I wouldn't recommend this place. I didn't like the food here either.

I was a guest at the hotel and experienced 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner here across the 3 day stay. On each occasion staff were thin on the ground, and slow to take orders. Slow to get drinks out. Slow to get your bill. 2 waiters were as miserable as they could come, another was wonderful. Food prep... More

This place, after all the good reviews, was sorely disappointing. I came for the food. The view is very impressive but that's where the positives end. The food was generally flavorless, with tomato soup that tasted like watery Campbell's and curry lacking the spices. And the chicken had bones! You say, duh, all chicken meat has bones. True, but generally... More

Did not stay there but went there for a lunch. Amazing food and super service. The restaurant overlooks the lake and it is a fantastic view from all tables. Must visit whenever you go to Udaipur.

Too bad that the waiters are so unhappy, grumpy and unhelpful. You have to wonder what causes such bad morale. Poor management, poor pay, bad tips. The food was ok but overpriced. Yet the location is wonderful and it is decorated beautifully.

We went twice at the jagat niwas restaurant and I liked a lot the food. The cheese naans are perfect, the meat is good and they have a bar license so they have a lot of cocktails. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

We stayed in Jagat Niwas Palace for 2 nights. We had dinner in the restaurant first night. We had booked the terrace table a week in advance but to our surprise they initially denied and when I firmly told that I had email confirmation, we were asked to wait for 15 minutes even when we reached on time. When we... More

A must place to have a relaxed , slow Lunch with a magnificent view of the lake Pichola. The restaurant has seating to ensue all guests have the advantage do the view. Small place with long dinning hours by guests, so plan accordingly. Food is a good blend of Indian and continental. Amazing mocktails.
