Its a small establishment, run by a German. Maybe that is the reason why it advertised by TripAdvisor and also Highway on My Plate! Overall it was more of a disappointment, not because of taste, because it was decent... It was more because of the quantity of the food and prices attached to it! Also the service was very delayed... I absolutely loved this cute restaurant, tucked away in an alley of Udaipur. With beautiful flowers hanging from the roof it has a really romantic and summery athmosphere. And the food... Just amazing! We had the chicken Wajid and the aubergine tomato olive dish, and both were beyond amazing! It's definitely the best food we had on our trip so... More

This lovely restaurant is in a quiet street with a lovely terrace with bougainville. You can ask for directions at cafe edelweiss, which has the same owner. We had aubergine and tomato on cinnamon rice and the sinature chicken dish. Both were delicious!

Near the red bridge (lal ghat) hides this gem. A beautifully decorated patio with amazing eggplant dishes. I had the caponata. It was delicious. Comparable to the Italian dish, with the touch of the east changing capers for raisins. The potato basket could have been crisper, but the taste of the veggies compensated. I'm coming back for the chicken, they... More

This is a great place to go while in Udaipur. The setting is lovely and off the beaten path. It's worth the walk to get there to see the haveli and the wonderful way in which they've maintained it. The service was great and the food was delicious.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out after visiting Cafe Edelweiss (owned by the same person). We were excited about attending as the menu wasn't just pizzas like most Mediterranean restaurants in India. We ordered starters and pasta and ravioli for mains. Both were really nice and, although we were hungry, the portion sizes defeated us! Like... More

Despite the Lonely Planets review noting that the portions were small, this seems to have been addressed as one with rice would have been enough for two people. Foster's beer was available however in Indian style not listed on the menu, the layout was good and ample selection of seating in sun or the shade. Good location right near the... More

Savage garden is one of the most interesting restaurant. It is an old house which has been converted into a restaurant. You have to go through some narrow lances to reach the place. The place itself and the decor are charming. They have converted small alcoves into seating areas with round tables. You get the feeling of dining in exclusivity.... More

Tucked in a by-lane, but the set up and color (blue predominately) really charms its way through. A bougainvillea for company, the spot caters to mainly continental and Italian cuisine with a very different feel. A must visit while in Udaipur.
