Good place to hang out and chat with other travellers. Bear in mind that any shops/services recommended casually by the staff are likely to be on the basis of a hefty commission for their own pocket (I fell for it!). I found one staff member a bit creepy (as a lone female) as he befriended me then asked questions of... More

It was very fun to visit Dr. Bhang in his Lassi shop. The bhang lassis themselves were delicious. The staff were really interesting and very friendly - to female patrons as much as male (for any other women travelling in Rajasthan you may have experienced being treated differently to men or in some cases being ignored by male staff!) Definitely... More

One visits the Lassi Shop (formerly known as the Bhang Shop) not just for the "special" lassi, but for the pleasant conversation and the opportunity to mingle with other adventurous travelers. "The Doctor" and his "cousins" are part of the fun of visiting this shop.

Just as Doctor Bhang says, a lassi here will be 'your ticket to the moon'. The shop itself is not much to look at - a little hole in the wall place to the left of the main entrance to the fort with the sign "LASSI SHOP" (NOT the "Bhang Shop" around to the right which stole this business's name).... The 'real' bhang shop is just outside and left of the first fort gate as you exit. The above photo of the shop is of the wrong bhang shop; Dr Bhang's shop is now (confusingly) called Lassi Shop, and it's a little green hole in the wall. You can ask Dr Bhang about the name change, he'll explain. Dr Bhang's... More

A unique shop! I have seen such shops elsewhere but this one takes the cake (no pun intended). It offers a great assortment of goodies with bhang as an ingredient - hot beverages, cold ones, in powder form, as a sweet paste etc. A unique experience indeed!

Bhang is a very mild form of cannabis and is legal in india. We visited this shop and purchased some cookies which were great especially before going into the fort and into the desert! For the person below who wrote about it not being a government authorised shop - the shop is outside a police station. It is quite publicly... More

The good thing about the place is what he sells, obviously! Not expensive and good stuff. There is limited variety. Chai, lassi, cookies etc. Staff can promptly answer any questions you may have. One of those places where you can find like minded travellers. Interesting shop!
