Authentic Odia Food

If you are interested in Odia food look no further than Dalma, the only problem would be to find out the authentic Dalma, because several restaurants with the name have sprung up all over Bhubaneswar. Food Quality is good, like home made traditional odia dishes. You will enjoy the place with food quality. However the prices of the food is extremely at the higher side, in comparison to the ambiances of the restaurant. Location is also extremely heart of the town and also there are many chain locations through out the city as well

Food was pretty good, nice mouth watering dishes. Clean cutlery, may be needs better ambience. I had ordered prawns thali. It included a plate of prawn currey, rice, dalma and mashed potatoes. The food was tasty but rice was not as per the north indian pallete, The price was pretty normal for the yumm this restraunt offered. Try the khiri... More

I have been eating at different branches of this restaurant for several years off and on, and it makes me sad to see the falling standards of food served. It still serves typical Odiya food, but many of the dishes have lost the special flavour they used to have earlier, possibly in the struggle to balance quality, input prices and... More

The food was just like any other oriya hotel. The name may be too much hyped as I didn't find anything speacial in there.

If you are in Bhubaneswar and never been to Dalma restaurant, your trip is not complete. Its in Madhusudan Nagar, ask your taxi or any auto driver they will take you there. Dalma is a chain of restaurants in Odhissa, which serves ethnic odhia cusine. Dalma is good for kukuda mansa tarkari which is one of the best non veg item. It serves rice, roti with fish, veg and non veg curries. River fish is the most available fish in bhubaneshwar and there are variety of yummy delicacies made out of it.
