This was the second weekend in a row I visited Whispering Bamboo with my family. The chinese food is as good as it can get for Pune standards as far as flavours go. The service is spot on, and the ambience works well for a chinese restaurant.

This is a restaurant in the Taj in Pune. The food here is really good with a good selection of dishes to suit all tastes. Veggies and non-veggies are catered for equally which is always a good sign. I started with veggie spring rolls with a chilli and garlic dip - they were well cooked and hot and reasonably generous... More

Chicken sweet corn soup, vegetable dumplings, Pan fried noodles is what I had & chicken dishes are to die for. The quantity of the rice and noodles dishes is less but taste of the food is yummy. The ambience is very cozy, it's not very loud. You can go with family as well as friends and have a nice time.... More

Whispering Bamboos is at the far right end of the hotel's lobby. Soothing oriental music and perfect aroma. Good Chinese food and have been here several times. As it is Taj hospitality the service is par excellence. Tried spicy lemon coriander soup, Chicken clear soup, crispy fried chicken and chicken dimsums. Approx Rs 850 per head for a restaurant situated... More

We went to this restaurant after a long time to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is part of the Taj Vivanta Hotel. For those trying to reach the hotel, in itself, it might be a little difficult as the hotel gate is right at a junction. Anyways, once in, the restaurant is located on the right hand side of the... Many may disagree, but to me, this is the finest restaurant in Pune. More than anything else, this is my personal favorite. Variety and the taste makes this restaurant my personal favorite. Believe it or no, I have been to the restaurant every single time I visited Pune, which usually happens at least 6-7 times in a year or more.

Ambience: does not look fresh, inspite of the interesting entrance. Service: great. Exemplary Food: fish in garlic and pepper sauce was great. Kung Pao chicken yummy. Chicken pot was bland ( but the staff had warned us of the same). The starters were good. Price: 4000 plus for three people

I had lunch at the whispering bamboo today with my friends. The food experience was fantastic. The duck soup was amazing, dimsums were good. The lamb, the vegetables and the hakka noodles we ordered for the main courses were all very good. We later ordered tiramisu and green tea creme brulee for dessert which all of us loved. I would love to... More
