We went there for breakfast many a times and went away full and ready to meet the day - Friendly people with homemade foods for all ages.

Wonderful food, service, and friendly too. Only open for breakfast or lunch and there are specials during the weekdays. Lots of locals eat here too!

The breakfast here at the cafe is good, nice portions , and reasonably priced. Bring your appetite if you order the biscuit and gravy (big biscuit), fantastic huevos rancheros, delicious pancakes. Nothing fancy just good food .

We usually love going to the Alto Cafe for breakfast, however, I think the Chef missed his mark this morning. We love the juevos rancheros but I think something was missing from the green chili sauce today. The eggs, home fries (had to request those), and pinto beans were good, but the green chili sauce was anything but what it... More

Our group went for fish and they had a run on it and had to cook more. Not enough vegetables and short on everything. Food was good, what there was.

My kids and I were lucky enough to stumble across the Alto Cafe yesterday for a late lunch. The place was full of locals (always a good sign) and we received a very warm greeting when we walked in. They have a lunchtime buffet, with a rotating menu, that seemed to be very popular. We ordered off of the menu-... More

We love to eat at Alto Cafe...the food is always good, a good price and good portion! The owners and waitresses are very friendly and the service is great!!! They have some of the best "Green Chili Sauce" anywhere! Good breakfast, serving great pancakes or a "Naked Burrito!" (Burrito w/out the tortilla smothered in Green Chili Sauce, or other breakfast... Looking for a different place to eat and found this place. Small and quaint but some great home cooking. Food looked and tasted like it was freshly prepared ( not packaged). I decided to have the Buffett. Chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes green beans. This was very good food. The wait staff was very attentive and interacted with the... More

We were past lunchtime & saw this little place so we stopped. It was about 15 minutes before closing. The waitress was very friendly, did not mention it was almost time to close & did not act "put upon" because it was going to make it past closing time when we finished. We both had chicken-fried steak. We got our... More

Waitress wasn't welcoming. Food was average. Homemade biscuits soggy. Butter not served on table. Had to find someone for a glass of water. Hot tea was as described by previous reviewer-not good. Searched for waitress to pay our bill.
