Great food every time

Lovely staff, great view (it is Varkala!) We at here countless times during our 5 week stay and had consistently good food. The take-a-way bakery food is great too.

I wanted to wait before writing a review about this place, I have visited it a number of times and have never been disappointed. The Aloo Gobi is the best in Varkala, possibly in the whole of Kerala being that it's a North Indian dish! The service is of a European standard. In a nutshell they actually care about their... A group of us ate at Kerala Cafe on numerous occassions, ordering a variety of dishes and the food was consistently good. A very friendly service and we found that we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Kerala Cafe has a beautiful view of the sea. Prices are on par with neighbouring restaurants but the food seems... More

Food was good and the waiters were attentive. Food came out fast. Prices seem to be in line with neighboring restaurants along the north cliff. Good place for kids with a varied menu, pizza and bread is cooked fresh on site.

All restaurants in Varkala offer an international menu but my rule of thumb is to order Indian from and Indian restaurant, Thai from a Thai, English from an English and so on. Also, because wine is scarce (and therefore over priced in India), opt for beer with meals. The New Kerala offers excellent food and excellent value (about £5 per... More

Really nice hospitality and nice staff. Food was one of the best we had, and we have tried a lot of places on the street.
