We sampled a range of fresh, tasty curries and flavours in Kerala, many with local fish and coconut. You can request how spicy you want your curry. Lemon rice, coconut rice were good. Banana fritters with ice cream were cooling in the tropical 80 + heat.

If you are in Kovalam and want really great authentic food then this is a must! Set within the Taj Hotel Kovalam this modern setting restaurant offers a very varied menu and excellent service. I fine many of the restaurants on the beach are very good but the food is toned down for the tourists but I think Curries offers... More

Yummy food, great recommendations by the servers and a good extensive wine list. No view or anything but the hotel itself is so beautiful

Nice Restaurant and right across the Taj main entrance. I went for the evening Dinner Buffet with family and friends. Food is good especially the Salads and Desserts. However the main courses were average nothing great in them. The breads and appams were great and it was served hot on the table. We were dining with small kids and the... More

Yet more outstanding service from the Taj staff here. We came a second night as it was raining hard and we didn't fancy going out to Bait. On that second night, we got the semi-private "room" filled with love balloons, which was nice, if rather over-the-top kitsch. Both nights we had great food with delicious local and national curries. The... More

Went there for lunch, and we were the only people in the restaurant. The stewardess was quite helpful and suggested some good combinations. The food was also quite decent and not too badly priced. I dont know what it is with the Taj people, they have installed wine chillers in the middle of many of their restaurants without considering the... More

We stayed at this Taj some years ago and thought Curries was great then. This time we weren't staying in the hotel but stopped by for dinner. Sadly the place seems to have gone a bit downhill. It wasn't awful, just not very good and the service was amateurish. Not worth the high prices.

We ate here after eating lunch at Bait. The portions were great and the food was good except for the mutton biryani which was a bit raw. We complained to the server and the chef himself came to our table to ask what was wrong. He changed the dish immediately and again came later to ask if all the food... More

Another restaurant part of the Taj Group opposite Jasmine Bay. Expect to pay more than elsewhere. We decided on the buffet lunch to sample many different curries, there were some other eating options beside curries though. The food was very nice but also more expensive, the staff were considerate & spoke about the dishes & even offered bread of our... More

We had a room delivery from Curries restaurant during our stay in Taj Vivanta(May 2011). The service is good enough but the food is reheated, at least I felt that way. To say in short its decent enough but nothing great to say..
